"Sept 27, 2026 One night. Solo 70 y.o. female traveler. What a fantastic place! From the outside one could wonder what they were in for. The room(s) and common area are exceptional! Lots of attention to detail. Filtered water in the common area as well as modern laundry machines (free?) with detergent available in the room. Plenty of coffee and tea in the room. Upscale furniture and bathroom set up. Just 4 amazing rooms, all upstairs (outdoor staircase). Downstairs is a popular bodega with an assortment of items (no wine - sad) including scooped ice cream and in the same space a very basic and VERY popular small diner. Looked like most people were getting meals to go. I’m sorry I didn’t get a meal there - there was a steady stream of locals ordering which is very telling. Easy short walk to the Gorge Park Trail which is 3.2 mi RT along the river. Lots of fall colors since it was late September. Got to watch a family zip lining too. Had pizza from Donnini’s which was so-so. Again, I wish I got a meal from the diner in the bodega. The dirt parking lot had an almost constant turnover of people coming and going. At first I was concerned about this but after a short while this felt like a nice local, busy hub. Also, when upstairs in the suites area there is no vibe, noise or concern about the number of people coming and going downstairs. Didn’t hear a thing. I think they close at 10. The diner closes earlier. I would 100% stay there again&eat at the diner."

"Very glad we were able to do a load of our laundry ourselves - staff were accommodating to allow us to use their machines for a small charge. There is a bit of a noise problem with “air locks” making the room door bang when someone else in the hallway opens or closes their door."

"The manager waited for us to arrive since our flight was late arriving into St. John’s. We arrived at 12:45am. Great communication. We liked our stay we decided to stay on our way back to St. John’s. Great hotel. 5 star"
