Great place to stay. Beautiful views and easy transportation along the rim. Unfortunately our stay was cut short by water issues in the park which suspended overnight stays.

Hard to beat the location and the views, which is why we came here. Restaurants were good. Parking a bit challenging but manageable. Good value.

Great location in front of the Canyon with air conditioning and clean rooms. Check in and front desk is in another building and we had problems with our room keys so Check in was not smooth but other than that we loved our stay here.

For me, the best part was walking out the door and being right there to look out the Grand Canyon. But we also made that to be a great experience was the staff at the hotel room and all around the Grand Canyon everybody there was just extremely nice and helpful. And the rooms were very clean and they were nice rooms. I have no complaints. I had the best stay ever.

We enjoyed our stay at the Thunderbird Lodge for the primary reason that it was at the rim of the Grand Canyon. We were able to have a nice dinner and breakfast at El Tovar dining room and at Bright Angel Lodge Bar. The room was basic but comfortable. There was a mini fridge in the room along with the coffee maker. I would recommend this as an affordable option to stay at the canyon.

Better than expected! Although this is a lodge and hits the mark for a national park hotel with the decor it does not feel run down or unkept. Amazing price and the rim is literally right outside. Sunset and sunrise were a ten foot walk.

It was well worth the money to stay right on the south rim. The room was not new, but very clean and tidy. We were happy to have the air conditioning in mid-July. The front desk staff was lovely - very courteous and helpful. Parking was tight but we were able to find spots not excessively far from the room. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay at Thunderbird Lodge.

We loved being on the rim of the Canyon. Although an older hotel it was meticulously clean and close to everything, trails, shuttle bus, food and gift shops.
