Beautiful minimalist decor with rich finishes and the views of the river were amazing, we love the area, we ate out most every evening, fantastic restaurants and shops and the best gelato. "We found the staff here very welcoming. Our room was clean and very comfortable. We stayed 3 nights and we wouldn't hesitate staying here again. Our stay was enjoyable and very reasonably priced. The location for us was excellent for 401 access whether to Port Hope or Grafton. We'll be back maybe sooner than later. Thank you. 😊"

"This property worked out perfectly for us, a bunch of old friends, hanging out for a couple of days. Communication and service was great. Functionally, everything was fine. There's no shortage of odd design choices, and the decor is... eclectic to say the least. It felt like is was built and decorated using leftover buulding materials and thrift store items. There was also a lot of stuff stored throughout the property. The basement, which is not photographed well in the listing was not fully finished and a lot of the neat furnishings down there were in bad condition. Honestly though, that helped make the weekend even more fun and memorable, and I would definitely rent it again. "

"Generally, everything was fantastic. However, we stayed there for three days two times in the last two weeks. And we had stayed at Cottage 5. There were some issues with the plumbing in the washroom. I was told the issues would be addressed when we had left the first time. However, they were not addressed. In fact, I found the host quite rude. She had told me that the last people who just left never had an issue. So I took a video and brought it back to the host. To prove my point that there is an issue. And I mentioned that if any damages had occurred while I’m staying there, it would not be my fault. I found the experience insulting. I don’t think I will go back because of that experience. There’s definitely issues with the maintenance on the cottages. In fact quite rundown. I think the host should have better people skills."
