Seedolphins and stingrays amongst one of the world’s largest barrier reefs justoffshore from this lengthy beach on Providenciales’ north shore.

Whether you’re looking for some peacefultime with the sea or the activity of a resort town, Grace Bay will havesomething for you. While the beach is best known for its nearby coral reef andits seemingly endless stretch of sand, its popularity has brought about a greatdeal of waterfront development like resorts and spas. Fortunately, since thebeach spans a whopping 19.3 kilometres (12 miles), you can still find remoteareas along its course.

Strap on a snorkel or rent some divingequipment to explore the coral reef off Grace Bay, which is one of thelargest barrier reefs on earth. Fantastic marine creatures like stingrays andbarracuda are commonly spotted in the area, as are dolphins and whales atcertain times of year. Keep an eye out for pregnant reef sharks, which areknown to swim in area during the summer. Don’t be afraid, but be careful: ifyou keep your distance, these small sharks are not likely to harm you.

Return to shore to experience the nearly20 kilometres of sand stretching along the blue-green water. In addition tobeing long, the beach is wide and flat. As a result, you can walk far out fromshore while still standing comfortably on the soft, white sand. This makesGrace Bay a great place for children to swim and play.

When the sun has fallen below thehorizon, head to one of the many bars and restaurants just inland from thebeach. Then, spend the night at a seaside resort so you can wake up the nextmorning and head straight back to the water.

Located on the north coast of Providenciales, Grace Bay is onlya short drive or taxi ride away from Providenciales International Airport.Explore the area around the beach to find other attractions like Mangrove Cay and Parrot Cay.
