"Lovely cosy cottage with gorgeous views. Owner was really friendly checking we’d settled in ok. Great location (as long as you have car) to get to nearby towns and attractions. Shame there wasn’t a pub within walking distance (as the road was too risky to walk on at night), however, the food and staff at the local pub in Yetholm (approx 1.5mile) were lovely and welcoming and food great! The only criticism I’d have of the cottage is that the bathroom and some decor could do with updating, however...

"The caravan was obviously well loved, but now dated and fairly tatty which made it feel grubby. The biggest issue though was lack of clean sheets etc despite contacting the host. Everywhere was spotless. We had a 6 foot bed that was very comfortable. Yes, the wallpaper was old & stained but this house is very old & must take a great deal of upkeep. The dining room was lovely, as was the breakfast Our friends had the room next door & their opinion was the same as ours. All 4 of us would definitely return"

"Pet friendly hotel and cottages. Plenty of areas to walk around the grounds. In the hotel there is a pet friendly bar and restaurant area. The clubhouse has food too. There is a small shop, lovely pastries. The only issue is no welcome pack with a map of the grounds, how to work the hob, cooker and heating. Even the staff didn’t know how to work the heaters! One out of three worked after a google search. However this will not stop us going back. Staff were friendly and helpful."
