Enjoyed my stay here very much. The staff was very friendly. The room was exactly what I needed for exploring Yoho and Glacier National Parks. The complimentary oatmeal and tea was perfect before heading out in the mornings. The best part was this area did not have the crowds of the more popular areas, but there was still plenty to do.

Overall pretty good. We did have old leftover pizza from someone else in our fridge. The room was really hot when we walked in and the side of the bed had a bracket sticking out which you could easily hurt your ankle on (multiple times).

Beautiful view of the Kicking Horse River right out front! It’s only a 15-20 minute walk to downtown (or 3-5 minute drive); close enough to make it convenient but not so close that you hear downtown noise. The room itself was so great for our family of 4! Our kids loved the bunk beds, and we really appreciated multiple extra fans in the upstairs loft to keep the kids cool during the end of August heat wave. Highly recommend!

It’s a good stay but, like other reviewers note, the rooms aren’t very insulated from each other for sound. As a result it’s luck of the drawer on whether you have a peaceful stay or not. We could hear noise from other rooms clearly early in the evening but thankfully everyone respected the designated quiet hours. It wouldn’t put me off staying again but best to manage your expectations in this regard.

Beautiful views from the common area. Room was tiny. Not even a chair to sit on or room for one. Walls are paper thin. Could here someone in the next room talking on the phone. May be better off spending a few dollars more and staying at another hotel chain.

This place is a dump. The rooms are tiny, the views are terrible (unless you only look out of the top 20% of the window), the hallways stink, the walls are thin, the ameneties are virtually non-existent. Having a log-cabin asthetic merely papers over the cracks of what should be a $100 motel, not a $300+ lodge. I will never stay at any Basecamp property again
