Kick Back, Relax and Unwind at this beautiful 2500 sq ft. cabin nestled along the bank of the Caddo River in Glenwood, Ar. This property gives you a beautiful view of the mountains and just feet away from the river.
Highlife Ridge is a rare find! Only a couple minutes from town, Highlife Ridge has something to offer everyone. This spacious property features an open floor plan throughout, so it makes entertaining easy for all ages.
Consider this property your home away from home! If you need it, I think we have it covered; as we tried to stock this property with everything someone would need during their stay.
Our cabin come with a fully stocked kitchen. With stainless steel appliances, ice machine, Fridge, Oven, Dishwater; not to mention cookware, utensils, and serving ware for 24 guest! We also have additional items tucked away such as: Blender, Table Top Griddle, Chopper, Crockpot, ect). You will find this kitchen has plenty of natural light, as the windows across the front of the cabin, allows those inside access to the beautiful scenery. Highlife Ridge offers seating for 12; which includes a long industrial table to seat 6-8 guest and bar top with 4 bar stools. If you still don't have enough seating... If you find yourself needing additional seating, we have you covered, step outside and there you will find a large deck which offers additional seating for guest on either the outside furniture or additional chairs that can be moved inside!!!

Highlife Ridge offers 4 bedrooms ( 2 King bedrooms and 2 Queen bedrooms). All rooms offer a Jack and Jill style bathroom. The vanity for the King room is accessible from both rooms with a locked door to both the restroom and shower, so that each guest room offers its own privacy. The Jack & Jill bathroom between the Queen bedrooms is directly across the hall from the rooms; and it offers locked doors, for the guest privacy as well.
Don't stop there....Take a peek behind the farm door and there you will find a bunk-room that sleeps 4, tucked away right off the kitchen and living area!!
Now climb up the ladder and you will find a large Bonus/loft room; this room can be fun for all ages. Equipped with a 55" TV and Pool table, this is where the kids love to get away from the adults and run and play.

Lastly, previous guest have mentioned " THIS IS MY FAVORITE SPOT" when speaking of the outside deck. Our cabin is elevated 16ft; therefore guest are able to enjoy the beautiful scenery around them. With river literally feet from access; you will find the calmness and peace while the sound of the river is rippling in the background.
The deck offers a large area to gather for guest to gather; but even better; it's a best place to watch those floating by; especially for guest that cant or dont like to be in the sun all day. Our cabin also offers a lower level deck; which some guest use for sunbathing! Want to listen to music while your outside on the deck or hanging by the river... NO worries, We have your covered.
This stereo system features 2 zones; which allows guest inside to watch TV or listen to music, while the other guest listen to their music outside without any interruptions between the 2.

Absolutely Beautiful & Relaxing

Great river house

This is a great river house that is perfect for a large group. Plenty of beds for everyone, plenty of outdoor seating, and a large living area. Will definitely be staying here again!

Great stay on the river!

Great place with an incredible view of the river from the front porch. Owner was easy to get a hold of regarding any questions or issues we had. Will be back in another two years time. It's hard to find places like this in Glenwood, AR of all places.

Amazing, would return in a heartbeat

The pictures don’t do the place justice. So much beauty in and around this home. Our kids has an absolute blast stomping in the river, and also in the house when the rain brought them inside. Great location, friendly locals, and the hosts were so helpful and caring! Would HIGHLY recommend this wonderful cabin.

Amazing!!

Very nice cabin. Most places I’ve stayed on trips the beds aren’t very comfortable, but these beds were just as comfortable as the one at my home. It was spacious enough for 15 people. Beautiful view. Secluded enough from neighbors, but close enough to town it you needed anything. Overall I give this a 10/10, and will definitely be staying again here in the future.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

The layout of the cabin made it easy for our group to not feel like we were on top of each other. We have stayed at other river front cabins and this had one of the easiest walks to the river. Very doable for our young kids. The outdoor speakers made for a great way to keep up with the Razorback game while sitting on the deck and eating dinner. Absolutely no reason why I wouldn’t recommend this cabin to others.

Beautiful, quiet home with lots of room

Our trip to the Hot Springs area included lots of activities, mixed with relaxing down-time. This house was perfect for that. At the end of each day, we could make dinner, spread out and relax. One day, our teenagers went tubing down the river, and we were able to bring them cold drinks and visit with them as they passed by! We spent hours sitting in the deck, watching wildlife and the river. Perfect setting. We loved it!

Breathtaking views with best river access.

We have stayed on the Caddo River several times in different cabins, but this was by-far the best experience! Holland was a dream to work with. She was extremely personable, accommodating & hospitable. We had a variety of ages with us from 8yrs to preteen/teen to 20 & 30-somethings, and then my husband & I who are early 50s. The cabin is beautiful with everything & I mean everything needed & more. Between the cabin and the river, there is an area with fresh, standing water with a small stream leading to the river that was the perfect spot for the small kids to play. The bigger kids & adults were able to tube and fish in the river which is constantly flowing but manageable enough to stand up. There was a large yard that was perfect for football, badminton, and Frisbee-throwing (for our furbaby). From the front porch, not only was the view of the blue water and the mountains breathtaking, but we were also fortunate enough to see some local wildlife (deer daily & an otter playing in the water). No matter what age, everyone had an amazing time making forever memories. We look forward to making more memories here!

Family Christmas

We really enjoyed our stay. The property location is perfect the size could not have been more perfect than this. The only issue we have was we tried to book this with our original booking and once booked realized we needed another day. We checked the listing and seen it was available so we reached out and asked if we could extend the stay by one night and could they pls send us the new charges for the extra night so we could pay it right away. We never received any communication back at all so we waited until the last date to cancel and cancelled our booking then turned around and booked it for the 3 days needed. We never heard anything until 2 weeks before our actual stay. The day of check-in we did reach out to confirm the gate code so we would have no issues and again no response. Once arriving the code failed to work for the gate, we contacted again no response we tried calling thru the app no response we finally found the number online and called that's when we received the correct gate code. We mssged once after our first day to let them know we loved the place no complaints just wanted them to be aware that the microwave does not work. They said they would get it replaced. I guess if we would have read the online reviews, we would have seen the microwave was out of commission along with the ice machine. With our large group was not easy without either but we managed and still loved the stay in this lovely home on the river. Would love to stay again, The McGrew's

Memory Maker

Since most people read reviews to see what's wrong with the property, I'll start there. - if you're short ( I'm 4'11) you may have trouble getting into the amazingly comfy beds. My husband (5'9) had no issues, and my daughter (5'3) also never mentioned it. -there were no lower shelves in the closet, or dressers so clothes had to be hung. (Which really wasn't a problem for us) there is an upper shelf but again, I couldn't reach it. Now the good (see how nit picky I had to be to find the bad?) - the house is amazing! It was decorated enough to feel homey but not so much we had to spend time chasing after our toddler because she grabbed something breakable. -the covered porch/deck area was a great hang out spot for us to sit outside and watch the rain, and the ceiling fans helped keep the area cool during the heatwave. -the loft room was a lot of fun and I was so thankful there was a provided baby gate so we could all go up there and have a ping pong tournament. -the way the bathrooms and closets were situated was definitely unique but provided plenty of hiding spaces for a family game of hide and seek that kept everyone (including my teenagers) entertained! - the beds and pillows were so comfortable, I slept better than I do at home! -the river was down during our stay which was actually perfect because the space right in front of the house was low enough for my 2 and 4 year old to play safely (with their life jackets because there is still a good flowing current) and just a little walk down the way was a rope swing my teens got to enjoy. -i loved that we were so close to town but it seemed so far away at the same time. We could run for things we forgot and not have to spend a whole day in the vehicle. At the same time it was so quiet and we barely saw anyone so it felt very secluded; it is a popular spot for floats/kayaks, we didn't have any trouble from the people doing down river. All in all I definitely recommend this cabin. Holland the host was very quick to respond to our issue (which was caused by my own dumb fault) and very pleasant to speak with. We try to pick a new state to visit every year but if we go to Arkansas again THIS is the place!

Great location and house

House needs some repairs for safety. Deck and stairs are in need of repair or replacement of rotten boards. Rotten wood is making for a dangerous situation. Bathroom floor in back bathroom has broken tiles and spongy floor shower curtain barely hanging on the wall.House location and views were great! My family had a great time and would book again.

Great Place for Large Families

We arrived to beautiful views and a clean, well stocked cabin. It was decorated beautifully for the holiday. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of supplies/amenities available for larger families. Our group of 14 had plenty of space to spread out, relax, dine, etc. Nightly deer sightings were an added bonus. I would highly recommend this property.

Perfect home away from home for large family!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here for a week. There were 11 of us, but could have comfortably housed several more. The children loved having access to the river, lots of room to run off energy, and watching the deer each evening. We had a very busy schedule while we were there, but I would have been happy to actually spend more time at the cabin as it is such a peaceful place. Should we return to the area, we will definitely stay here again.

Great stay on the Caddo

Our family loves the Caddo River! We come from Waco to enjoy it every year for the past 4 years. It is a lot more family friendly than the Guadalupe or Frio River that we used to enjoy before having kids. We enjoyed our stay at the Highlife overall. Here were our pros/cons. Pros: Location, location, location!! Direct access to the river is a must and this was such a good area!! The host has been very friendly and helpful. Bright living/dining/ kitchen area with great views. Price at time of booking was a great deal. Cons: The ice machine does not work. We all tried figuring it out, but unfortunately we just must not be savvy enough to figure it out. We also couldn’t figure out the outdoor speakers on the porch. The fridge was having a hard time keeping up and didn’t keep our food very cool. The middle toilet bubbles up when another restroom toilet gets flushed…. Think bidet effects. All in all, we had a great stay and hope to be back on the Caddo summer 2025!

We had fun. Great location and river. The only negatives - we were given wrong code for gate - a stranger had to tell us how to get in. The Keurig does not work and the flies were horrible on the porch and in the house. The kids had a great time floating the river.
