"Cliffside BnB was wonderful. Amanda was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast had a variety of food to pick from. There was oatmeal, muffins, meats and cheeses to pick from, fresh fruit, croissants and breads, coffee and tea and more. The view of the ocean was beautiful. Lots of birds, and a nice breeze. I had a very nice experience at this BnB. I would stay again! Thank you Amanda :)"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Glenwilliam?
The best area to stay in Glenwilliam is the village centre, particularly around the main intersection of Main Street and Lighthouse Road.

This area is the heart of Glenwilliam, offering a pleasant mix of local shops, eateries, and access to the waterfront. You'll find many of the village's amenities within a short stroll, including the local bakery, a few independent boutiques, and the access point to the scenic coastal path. The iconic Glenwilliam Lighthouse is also a prominent landmark here, offering great views of the Northumberland Strait.

Couples looking for a relaxing getaway will find this area particularly appealing. It provides a quiet setting with convenient access to dining and gentle coastal walks, great for enjoying the island's natural beauty without feeling isolated. Many accommodations here offer lovely views of the water or the village green.

For families, staying slightly outside the immediate village centre, perhaps a short drive along Lighthouse Road towards the more expansive beaches, can be an excellent option. These areas often feature larger properties, such as holiday cottages or guesthouses, with more space for children to play and direct access to quieter stretches of sand.
When is the best time to go to Glenwilliam?
The best time to visit Glenwilliam, Prince Edward Island, is during the summer months, from June to September, when the weather is at its finest for enjoying outdoor activities and the island's natural beauty.

During this period, you can expect warm temperatures and plenty of sunshine, making it ideal for exploring the iconic red sand beaches, cycling along the Confederation Trail, or enjoying water sports. All local attractions, restaurants, and shops are fully operational, offering the complete Glenwilliam experience. This is particularly appealing for families looking for a relaxed holiday with numerous options for children, from beach days to nature walks.

For couples seeking a slightly quieter experience with pleasant weather and fewer crowds, early June or early September are excellent choices. The sea is warm enough for swimming, and you can still partake in activities like kayaking or paddleboarding without the peak season hustle.
