"Ibis hotels are pretty much all the same. Spare, clean, social area. This is within a few minutes walk to the Festspielhaus, the Hbf, and a short walk to tourist Bayreuth. Air-conditioning which many Bayreuth hotels lack. At other hotels people are dependent on cabs or busses to get to and from hotels to the Festspielhaus which can be very slow and expensive as the cabs are metered and sit in traffic after the opera."

"A lovely and recommended place. it was a great experience. We enjoyed walking around the corridors of the castle and discovering the special rooms with weapons and armor. We took part in a tour "Sophie's Cave" - we really enjoyed it, but the downside is that the tour is in German, altow you can try to get an explanation from the guides separately. After the tour we attended a wonderful dinner at the castle."

"The hotel has plenty of nice amenities, and the front desk is very helpful (especially in answering questions about the area and in getting a ride to the airport set up). The best part may be the location--right near the Marktplatz (with plenty of shopping/dining nearby). You are within a couple minutes walking distance from major sites like the Margravial Opera House and the Richard Wagner home. If you are in Bayreuth for the Wagner festival, it's about a 30 minute walk to the Festspielhaus....

"Hotel is used for a lot of conferences, and bus tours, so is big, and has lots of rooms. Having said that, the facilities are all fine and well maintained, and our room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Breakfast and dinner in the hotel was ecellent too. Only minor issue is that its a bit of a walk to the town centre (15-20 mins), but there isn't a lot to see or do there anyway, so no big deal. Parking is easy and straightforward"
