Great location.
Ok Great location. Good rooms for the money. Tea and coffee etc. as a business model it works as it’s not expensive but there zero contact on check in and departure, which some people may enjoy. Good take away within 20 yards.
Room was a bit noisy as there was a water pump behind a panel which initially kept me awake but it settled down after 11 pm.

Convenient one night 'stopover' room small but clean and comfortable. Food and service in the BB bar was excellent.
Lovely clean comfortable room's, first class service and a great value breakfast next day.
Whats not to love?
Special shout out for Jacqueline who provided fantastic service.
It provides basic stuff you need for the money you pay. We liked the mattress, it gave good support during sleep. The conversation between us and probably the owner was very quick, supportive and smooth. We stayed here on Saturday so there was a party, disco or karaoke in the pub next to the room. It was very noisy. In the morning before 7am we woke up to a noisy radio, slapping doors, loud conversation- probably cleaners, no idea. But definitely it wasn't what we needed after a quite long yourney, drive.🙄
Excellent as usual. Emailed to welcome us back and let us know how to check in during COVID times. Room immaculate. Bit smaller than normal hotel room but much higher quality finishings.
Have stayed here a good 4-5 times now and never had any issues.

It was OK, the room was clean but it was too small for a family room. There no space for suitcases and just too tight. We decided to have breakfast in the morning but there was no one at the reception desk, we rang the bell several times and someone came after 10 minutes and were told the chef had not yet arrived, this was at 10am. We waited for about 15 minutes and I asked how long we were to wait and was told they still had to phone him and were not sure. We left with no breakfast.
it was a good spot and very convenient for business in Cumbernauld and surrounding area. we ate at the adjoining restaurant and the food was lovely and good value. The only issue was that the WiFi did not work in the 2 rooms myself and colleague were staying in, both phones and laptops couldn't detect the wifi; nor any phone service at all which was quite inconvenient.

Couple of nights at the Black Bull
We were worried as we arrived because the drinkers in the street outside the pub that it was going to be a noisy room. However we were in a building to the side of the pub itself, and so could not really hear them. But we did have some inconsiderate hotel users who were very noisy when they came in at night.
The room we had to was very small to say the least.
The electric shower was not reliable switching from freezing to boiling hot without warning. Which the Black Bull should look at really before someone gets burnt.
That said it served its purpose.
Feel a little let down by the generous reviews left by others if we are honest.
Our room should be rated less than average really.
Also it is not an hotel it’s a pub with a few rooms they let out no breakfast available. We ended up driving to the nearby Tesco’s for a bit of breakfast.
The garret room was comfortable and clean. Getting in and out of bed was awkward due to the tightness up against the wall. The shower room was excellent with all the amenities that guests require. The noise outside the room with the live singer on the Friday night and the smokers conversations didn,t help in trying to get some sleep. Some of the staff were very helpful and some quite rude. The small and larger selections on the menu were very good and reasonably priced.
In the old Village with lots of shops, hairdressers, barbers even a Thai massage, chemist, Spar, Chinese, Indian and Pizza take-away and the pub sells excellent food, good road access if touring , this was our 2nd stay.

My daughter and I stayed for the night. It was a nice room with everything we needed in it .
States parking is on site ? This made me think there was a car park. Just standard public street parking after 6 pm till 8am only 20 mins stay outside of them times. Staff great , food great , pub great friendly locals. room small but cozy and clean.
Would stay again if not working but not happy about leaving my car out of sight with all my tools in, a bit misleading.
Great hotel, great standard - the only complaint really is the bright green fire escape light in the room, and the bright orange light right outside the window. This disturbed our sleep quite a bit, but otherwise great
Very nice village, good food in the restaurant and nice pub.

The best bit was the bed so comfy, however I have never stayed in such a small cramped room you could only just walk around the bed, one of the bedside draws had not been cleaned and was full of hair stands and bits! It was noisy,
