"This place is awesome. Its vintage, if you want modern you will be dissappointed. The Bedrooms are tight, the bathroom is older, the floors creak, but its just as advertised. The Setting is the middle of a pasture, it is great! The view from the porch may inspire you to want to retire there. The owner is available and helpful. Its clean. Very unique Would Stay again"

"This has to be one of the cutest cottages in Texas. Came in for the EEI truck show. We had the best time ever and staying at this cottage put the cherry on top. Beautiful place. Everything we needed and more and let me just say that the beds were so comfortable. We will definitely be booking again. "

"The Howdy Ranch was everything we needed… From the moment we stepped foot on this property til the time we left it was perfect. The pictures and descriptions are true. The fridge and pantry were stocked with everything we needed and more. We enjoyed fishing, canoeing and exposing our pup to the cattle and deer that visited us each afternoon. Looking forward to visiting again soon."

Made our daughter’s birthday special!
"We booked the Elf’s Aerie for our daughter’s 15th birthday. She (we) loved it! The 3 of us were cozy but comfortable in the Aerie. Our stay was during a Texas heatwave so the air conditioning was a must and kept us nice and cool throughout our stay. Our daughter loves stargazing. If we would have allowed it, she would’ve stayed up all night roasting marshmallows by the campfire and gazing at the stars. The owners have seemingly thought of everything we needed for an awesome stay. We even loved the unique outdoor shower. The location is peaceful and rural but only 15 minutes or so from Bastrop. Highly recommend!"
