The hotel was nice and quiet and close to the train station, with a good breakfast. We could also easily walk to the old section of Geneva, and along the lakefront - which was nice. The hotel itself and the rooms were somehow a bit dark and gloomy. They were clean and comfortable, but somehow not light and airy. Check-in staff was friendly, efficient, and helpful. Neighborhood was safe, and a nice quick walk to the train station, which we needed most.

Great location. Simple and basic rooms.

Great location right next to the SBB train station. A close walk to the lake and local parks. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were very small and bare-bones. You get what you pay for. The stay was fine and they were accommodating with adding cribs in the room.

Good hotel in a great location

Hotel was in a great location, and the folks at the front desk were able to give us a quiet room away from the road. We saw a few ants come out in one corner of the room, but other than that, the room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was pretty sparse, but consistent. Would likely stay here again, if the price was right.

this hotel was excellent, nice clean room, in walking distance to the water, the fountain, the merry go round and a very nice beach, with showers, toilets, eating places and it’s only 2FF to get in. Near the bus station, like a 5 min. walk. I would differently stay at this hotel again. ALL the workers were very nice and helpful. One guy by the name of Paul was very helpful to us in giving out direction! Way to go Paul! Would I stay at this hotel again? YES, for sure!

Amazing stay at Hotel Montana in Genève. Our room must have been recently renovated as it was super clean, very modern and so spacious! The beds were comfortable and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom had a wonderful waterfall shower with excellent water pressure. Reception personnel were friendly and helpful. Location is literally a block from the Geneva Cornavin station which made taking local transport easy (plus when you stay at a hotel in Geneva, you get a free transport pass to use the buses, trams, and yellow boats within the vicinity), as well as excursions via train travel.

This hotel has a very good location and is only two blocks from the train station. The service was very good. The mini bar in the room did not work (it was not cold inside; only its light works). We reported it, but they did not fix it. The breakfast was acceptable, but its variety was not that great.

Hotel located in a walking distance from the lake, old town, restaurants nearby. Room size was good, but the bed felt quiet small for two people, balcony didn't offer much of a view and there was a noise coming from the nearby building under construction. We stayed just one night, so it wasn't a big deal.

One night in Geneva

Needed a hotel near the station. Was stuffy, smelt of damp, had no Air con and with the window open was extremely noisy. Perhaps it’s cheap by Geneva standards, but at over £200 for one night I would have expected a decent sleep.

Comfortable stay in a hotel ideally suited a few mins walk to the railway station. Only gripes and they are minor, air conditioning unit had a pipe to connect to outside to pump out hit sir was held by the open window and it fell out when we were out so room was like a sauna when we came back. Second, there was no option for a takeaway breakfast as we had to catch an early train in the morning.

We stayed 2 nights after 9 days of hiking. Hotel location is very convenient, close to everywhere, the train station, shops, with ton of restaurants within 5 minutes of walk. There was a heat wave going on during our two nights stay (temperature was 92 and 95 during the day), there is no air condition, only a small desk fan. We were both soaking wet in the morning, we tried to keep the window open but the noise is unbearable. One of the reason I chose this hotel was because it has 'laundry facility', I thought they have self service washer and dryer turned out they don't.
