We had a lovely family get away for the week. Comfortable accommodation in a great location for exploring the local area. Beamish museum and Durham were our highlights.
A lovely and peaceful location perfect for what we wanted. Location to Chester le Street and Durham plus Beamish is perfect and if you want something a bit more lively Newcastle city is not too far away.
A very comfortable place to stay in beautiful countryside. The property was well equipped with good facilities. It would be helpful to make it clear in the details that the only bathrooms are upstairs. The patio was pleasant place to sit in good weather but was a little run down. It’s lovely to stay on a working farm. The position is excellent for discovering the great variety of things to do in the Durham area.

Great Place; Great Owners
We were 4 adults visiting the area during Rugby World Cup-2015, and wanted to stay for 1-week to explore rural northern England, away from the hustle and bustle. We could not have chosen a better place for our objectives. The owners (Louise and Angus) were just great (thanks for the welcome cake), the accommodations was top rate. Highly recommend if peace and quite is your game. Your own transportation is essential.
Had a lovely break. Accommodation spacious and comfortable. Great views towards Gateshead. Dog loved lawn to rear of cottage. Easy access to Durham, Beamish and Newcastle.
