"This hotel was very nice during our stay it was not as crowded as we expected. Breakfast was better than expected. A nice large property to wander around good sized pool with lots of different types of seating/lounging It is an easy stroll to the pier. Our room was comfortable and clean. It was a bit dated but it seems they are upgrading the property bit by bit. Friendly staff. "

"The property was pretty and the rooms were modern and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly. We told them we had to leave earlier than the breakfast time on the last day, and they brought a selection of food to us the evening before without us even asking. "We really enjoyed our stay here, the staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. We don’t usually choose half board but we are glad we did! The first night there was a buffet in the garden, of local food, this was the best buffet I have ever had, everything was so fresh and tasty and there was lots of vegetarian choice. We ate off the a la carte menu our other 2 nights, which again was amazing food, with lots of choice, as was breakfast. The pool area is lovely and the hotel is only a 10 minute drive to the lovely town of Otranto. We had a standard room, the only criticism is the bathroom could do with a bit of an update, the shower wasn’t great with poor pressure if you had it on warm. There was live music and dancing one night and we enjoyed the tour of the underground Oil Mill and Olive Oil Tasting which was provided by the hotel. "

"This was one of my favorite places in Puglia! The lady at the front desk was so welcoming and warm. The room was gorgeous as well as the grounds. The breakfast was spectacular… it had everything including very freshly cut up fruit. The cappuccino machine made amazing coffee. The location was walkable to everything. She recommend a restaurant for dinner with fabulous views and was only a 5 minute walk. This was a very last minute booking and was a very good value. I will definitely return. "

"OK, so we loved this place - but then we love rustic places in quiet locations.The house itself is very traditionally furnished in an older Italian style - if you're looking for modern and boutique then this isn't it. For the amount of time we spent inside it, it was clean and had everything we needed. Comfy bed, great sleeps.The outside looks like it has been renovated in recent times. Comfy, private patio area and extensive grounds, nice place to just relax for a day if you don't fancy exploring. It would lovely if it had a pool, but on a hot day the outdoor shower works just as well. And the views are stunning.There's not much in the immediate vicinity, so a car is fairly essential to get around as any shops, restaurants etc would otherwise be a long walk along the fairly busy road at the top of the slope from the property (far enough away that there is no traffic noise).10 minutes or so one way you have Santa Maria which is a lovely, low-rise fishing village gotten touristy (but without selling it's soul). We particularly liked the restaurant Santa Maria along the near end of the promenade.10 minutes the other way is the Maria di Novaglie and the Lo Scolo restaurant which was the find of our holiday. Spend some time there - we went for dinner one night and then came back the next day to use the sunloungers, have a swim and do a long, late lunch. Amazing spot.Hope you have as much fun in this lovely part of Italy as we did."

"Palazzo Daniele is an extraordinary place! Old restored palace filled with art and design, super friendly and helpful staff. You encounter beauty at every corner of this place. I have just left and dream to come back there soon. We stayed at the black suite which was super spacious and had an entire roofdeck to our disposal. I was extremely charmed with the palazzo and our suite. It was one of the most magical places I have stayed at in my life. Location is perfect for discovering Salento. The downside are extra services: breakfast for 40Euro is too expensive... food is super delicious but too pricey. The same with cocktails. I was happy to hear about morning gentle yoga sessions but afterwards it appeared that they are not complimentary, instead cost 50Euro. Wifi is too weak. "
