"Hotels in Shenzhen are not really rated at the same level, in terms of stars, as those in many other metropolitan areas. 5-star ratings here seem to be more like 4-star elsewhere. This Ritz had great service but the room itself is not that well maintained. My biggest gripe is the ventilation in my room (which was upgraded for free to the executive level) was poor. "Prime location just a block away from Cocopark mall where has plenty of good restaurants "

"Overall the room was comfortable, it was the bathroom that was a bit run down, as in my sink was not draining well, and the faucet was rusted. Other than that though, the room itself is very well kept and very clean. The lobby was very humid and the windows were covered in dew/water, could benefit with a few dehumidifier. Oh and there are bird in cages at the lobby, if you’re allergic, get your friend who’s not to check in instead."

"Good hotel. Good service. Breakfast was a bit boring, nothing special or fascinating. Room TV can do screen casting and provide a charging port for USB charging at the bedside which is something basic in the current high-tech world but I rarely see it in old hotels so I am pleased that Shangri-La thought of this. There's a Starbuck just across the hotel too. "
