There were a couple of bus stops within blocks of the apartment, making it relatively easy to make to downtown Funchal (a 20-minute ride).Beyond the property, the host (Clara, an artist) was outstanding... very considerate, responsive, and professional. We were all terribly impressed with her. "

Top Funchal Hotel Reviews

The Vine

10/10 Excellent

"Parking parfait, bien situé"

Barcelo Funchal Oldtown

8/10 Good

"Amazing location, in perfect location for discovering Funchal. Staff are outstanding and breakfast buffet is excellent! Our room was very clean, nice decor and super comfy bed! Only negative for hotel is there are no views from your room (since we were out all day exploring this didn’t matter at all)"

Arts In Hotel Conde Carvalhal

10/10 Excellent

"I loved this hotel so much. The staff are so friendly, the breakfast is amazing with a great view. The rooms are large and super clean. We had an early flight before breakfast started, and they were so sweet to leave breakfast in our room before we woke up. 10/10 would stay here again!"

The Editory Garden Carmo Funchal

10/10 Excellent

"We had a great stay here while on our honeymoon! The beds were comfortable and the staff was wonderful. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the rooftop pool - although there was never anyone working in the bar at the rooftop pool, but that didn't effect us. The location was convenient for us and we would stay here again!"

Pestana Carlton Madeira Ocean Resort Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Very nice and spacious hotel room. Hotel staff were friendly and very accommodating whenever we had any questions or requests. The breakfast buffet was great too with lots of variety to choose from, as well as staff members clearing tables and providing utensils very quickly."
