Very sweet old style onsen. Water was wonderful and kenseki dinner was a real treat. Staff very friendly courteous and helpful. Beds and linen comfortable and very clean. The hotel is aging. If you are looking for an authentic experience, this is it!

Located in a rural area that is close to some beautiful natural sights. A short drive from the UNESCO heritage site (old growth beech forest). We came in early November and were a bit late for the peak fall colours, but there were still plenty of vibrant orange and yellow leaves. Hotel itself is showing its age, but they keep the rooms very clean. Kind and courteous staff made us feel welcomed. Would recommend for anyone looking for a quiet nature escape.

Itâs located rather remote. Itâs a hot spring hotel than your usual hotel. You may have to settle your meals in the hotel as travelling out is just too far away. However itâs a different experience to immerse in the country side thoughâŠ.
