Great place and hosts. We VRBO about every 1-2 months and this was one of the best properties we have rented. The cabin was warmed up for our arrival on a cold snowy day, and it was super welcoming. Kitchen was well equpped. Dog had a great time.
Such a nice, beautiful cabin in a great location. The hosts, Mark & Dawn, were so responsive and fantastic to communicate with. We will definitely be staying here again!
We have stayed at this property multiple times and already planning another visit. With the dog friendly backyard and cozy gas fireplace, not to mention unique stay with modern touches, it is ideal for us.
Very easy check-in and excellent communication with property manager. We even saw a moose! Nice and clean rustic cabin that has been remodeled with an awesome hot tub. Perfect stay for us empty nesters with our pups.
Very special cabin in a great location! The neighborhood is quiet and yet close enough to walk to hiking trails as well as downtown. The hosts take care to make sure their guests are comfortable and the property is well maintained. This is a fabulous spot for mountain activities of all kinds.
We had a really smooth stay here. Mark was responsive throughout our trip. Watch out for the stairs, we bumped the back of our feet a few times on the very cool but knobby steps.
This magical little cabin in the mountains was perfect for our extended Christmas away. Two adults, one kid and two dogs made it cozy but fit us all well. We had everything we needed and the hosts were great communicators. We would certainly stay here again.
Stayed for a short ski weekend. Excellent quiet location. Very unique property. Very well maintained. Fantastic stay all around. Couldn't recommend more.
Cute and historic cabin, hostess was available for issues (there were no issues). Kitchen was well stocked and we ate many of our meals at the cabin. Hot tub was great. We spotted several grazing moose. Several great hikes right from the cabin. Would definitely recommend staying at this cabin.
Had a great time (apart from uncontrollable events like the weather). The cabin was everything we were looking for. The hot tub was probably our favorite feature. The owner kept in contact via text while we were there (he needed to clear snow a few times) and was willing to help with anything we needed.
This was my second summer in a row visiting this lovely cabin. Great location within a short walk to Frisco main Street shopping and restaurants and most important to me, endless hiking within walking distance to Mt. Royal! A beautiful fenced backyard for my dog with a creek that runs by the property that my dog loves playing in. An original cabin (one of 5 first of Bill's Ranch) of the area with modern updates that don't take away from the original uniqueness. The hosts are amazing people, attentive to your needs, highly recommend this property!
The cabin has such charm! It’s a great location for accessing all of the local ski areas as well as the Summit County business districts. The neighborhood is exceptionally quiet. My dog and I enjoyed walking in the neighborhood as well as throughout Frisco. Dawn and Mark were gracious and generous hosts. One of my best ski stays ever!
Such a cozy space for two people +dog. Prime location. Quiet area walking distance to trailheads and town of Frisco. Comfortable and cozy. Private hot tub is great perk and fenced in yard for dog was so great. Owner communication is great.
Old cabin that is fully modernized. Exceptionally clean. Close to Frisco.(walking distance). Great hot tub in back. Fenced back yard for your dogs. Property is next to a stream. What more can I say. This place is a gem!
What a treat! The cabin was everything we knew it would be based on previous reviews, and the owners, cabin and location did not disappoint. Everything was perfect, with the most picturesque surrounding you could hope for. We would go far as to say we enjoyed Frisco more than we did Breck and Keystone. In any case, if you are on the fence, hop on over, the view is great!
If you look for a place that is just the Swedish "Lagom" - not too much and not too little, not too far and not too close, not too large and not too small, not too luxury and not too sparse, not too expensive and not too cheap, this is just the right place you want to be. In 5 min you reach the shore, in 5 min you will be on the trails, in 10 min you walk downtown, it is clean, cozy, comfortable, warm, exhilarating (hot tub under the stars) and calming (you will only hear the wind and the running creak at night). You will want to go back there again and dream of the place when you are back in your daily grinder.
This cabin was truly amazing. It was very clean and just as described on VRBO. The creek by the yard was so much fun for my dog and very relaxing to sit on the patio and listen to. The fenced back yard is big, my dog loved it! It's in a great location, you can walk to hiking trails, the marina and main street Frisco. The owners, Mark and Dawn, are very nice and near by if you need anything. The cabin itself is really cool, it's been updated just enough with all the modern conveniences but rustic enough to feel like an authentic cabin. The furniture is comfortable with touches of interesting decor. The bed in the loft is super comfortable. There is nothing I would change about this property, I'll be back again next year.
My teenage son and I stayed at the cabin while we skied for three days at Keystone and Breckenridge. The cabin was just what we hoped — old and interesting, impeccably kept, with thoroughly modern elements (kitchen, bathroom) where needed, and charming touches throughout. There's much to see in that compact space — objects lovely, whimsical, intriguing. We appreciated Frisco, too. It's minutes from the ski areas, but not a ski town. We enjoyed our communications with our hosts. Our hosts supplied everything we needed and more. We hope to return to "Maddy's Cabin." My son would like to live there.
This was by far the best experience we've had! The hosts were very helpful from the beginning through the end. We arrived during a snow storm and they were with us throughout the entire drive to the cabin with closure updates, etc. EXCELLENT Communication, THANK YOU!
The cabin and property was just beautiful and breathtaking. It was a winter wonderland. The town is something out of a Hallmark movie. Everything is exactly as it was described. The hot tub was a great add on and relaxing after skiing all day.
Thank you so much for being great hosts and for sharing your beautiful cabin.
