Sand & Snow - Remodeled / Great Location! Walk to Downtown and Beach!

This is a wonderful, family-friendly ranch-style home in a great location in the downtown Frankfort residential area! Gorgeous home that has been recently renovated! Features great use of technology with central air conditioning, exceptional 400 Mbps Wi-Fi, and digital streaming with Hulu, PureFlix, Netflix, Max, and Disney+ all included across 3 televisions. Includes a game / entertainment room plus a washer and dryer in the basement!


GUEST INTERACTION:

We have a local property manager that lives in the area and is available to address any questions or issues.


NEIGHBORHOOD:

The house is set in the middle of Frankfort's very cute and charming downtown residential area. It's only a couple blocks from downtown Frankfort and a very easy walk to shops, restaurants, and cafes. Frankfort Beach and Lake Michigan is only 0.6 miles from the house, which works out to about a nice 10 to 15 minute walk from the house.

Outside of Frankfort, Crystal Lake is just 10 minutes away, the start of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is only a 20-minute drive from the house, and downtown Traverse City with it's shops, restaurants, entertainment, and nightlife is only a 1-hour drive away!


THE SPACE:

All 3 bedrooms and both full bathrooms are located on the main floor! In the partially-finished basement, there is a entertainment / game / kids room as well as a washer and dryer that is available for guests to use.

Outside, the house has a nice large deck with a new gas grill and nice new bonfire ring for great family bonfires with s'mores!


TRANSIT:

It is recommended that guests have their own vehicle, but it's very possible to get by without a vehicle if you wish to stay right in Frankfort the entire time.


PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

(1) NEW OWNERSHIP: The property was purchased by new owners in 2025 and they have newly remodeled the property since taking ownership.

(2) AIR FRYER: In addition to the listed amenities, there is an air fryer in the kitchen.

(3) DRUG USE: Recreational drug use of any kind (including marijuana in any form) is strictly prohibited at the property! Drug paraphernalia of any kind is also strictly prohibited at the property!

(4) NAME ON RESERVATION: The person whose name is on the reservation must be staying at the property for the entire length of the stay. It is not permitted to book the property for other people.

(5) PETS: All pets are strictly prohibited at the property.

6) NUMBER OF GUESTS: Please note that our pricing is based upon the number of guests, with pricing being higher with each additional guest that is included on the reservation. Please make certain that the correct number of guests is specified on the reservation so that the pricing is correct.

7) EARLY CHECK-IN: Our policy is to allow early check-in on the day of arrival if the property is available for check-in. We will not know until the day before arrival whether or not the property will be available for early check-in or not. You can check with our local property manager the day before arrival or on your arrival day to see if the property will be available for early check-in or not.

8) LATE CHECK-OUT: We maintain a very strict and structured cleaning schedule. As such, late check-outs are strictly prohibited.

Gwen’s Place is great!

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at Gwen’s place in August. The home was clean and comfortable, had plenty of space, the yard was great and we enjoyed the fire pit many days and evenings. The neighborhood was quiet and within walking distance to many downtown shops and restaurants. A bit longer of a walk led to the beach. We found everything we needed in the kitchen, and there was enough space for all 6 of us to sit together for a meal. We will definitely consider staying again when in the area!

Wonderful family stay

My wife and I stayed for a week with two of our kids, 15 and 6. Very comfortable accommodations, climate control was perfect, the back yard was very nice, and the kitchen was well stocked. The linens were very clean, the only thing lacking from the entire stay was a dish towel. I only mention that to highlight how little there was to criticize. It’s a short walk to everywhere you’d want to go, we hardly used the car for our entire trip. I would highly recommend.

Good time as usual. Pleasant stay. A bit noisier than we would have liked due to the main road and proximity of the neighboring house on the master bedroom side of the house. Price is reasonable. Don’t care for the security deposit method/refund timing. But would recommend based on convenience.

PERFECT location. In walking distance of the beach, cute town, and every magic moment that NW Michigan has to offer. Cute little fire pit out back to gather and enjoy family time. We will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

This house has recently been renovated and is in great condition. Very clean!! Beds are super comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Walking distance to the cute downtown with shops and tasty restaurants. Another short walk and you're at the beach. Would definitely stay here again!!

Beach vacation in Michigan!

Loved the house and the remodeling is beautiful. We appreciated the proximity to the downtown area and the beach. Having beach towels available was very nice! Only improvement would be having toiletries like shampoo available. We also noticed a lot of ants on the floor everywhere but especially the living room, and weren’t able to lock the back door.

Property is walking distance to Downtown Frankfort and Lake Michigan. Will be more convenient when construction of Forest Ave is completed. Clean, A/C, Internet, multiple TV's. Definitely rent here again.

Great property

The communication process was good from the beginning. Everything was prepared for us on arrival. The check-in process was smooth as well. The house is well equipped for a long- or short-term stay. Grill and a fire pit are a good way to relax in the evening. Recommended!
