"What a wonderful house! The river was beautiful with lots of wildlife in the back yard! We did a long girls trip, hiking at sleeping bear dunes and a kayak trip ending right at the house. The access to kayaks was the best part! Close to traverse city for a day of winerys. Will definitly be plannig another trip here soon! "

"We have stayed before and will stay again. We like the privacy as well as the location. This location is close to everything we love to do in the area and Joe and Kelsey are always great hosts."

"The home is in a wonderful, secluded location with Lake Anne right in front. It was very nice to have the kayaks and stand-up-paddleboards available and we definitely used them a lot. It was also an easy drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes for a day trip. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and the beds were comfortable."

"The proximity to “downtown” Empire was super and it is an easy walk to the beach. Our dogs enjoyed the back yard and it was easy to walk them around the neighborhood. We neglected to notice that there is no A/C. We opened the windows due to record high temps during our stay and there are a lot of fans in the closets but do note it got very hot inside. Bring a sheetpan/cookie sheet or 9x13 - I forgot mine for dinner prep and cooking and the kitchen didn’t have one."
