"The location is great, especially if you are coming in on the train and/or visiting the historic dock area. The hotel is literally across from the train station and 50 yards or so to the entrance of the historic port area, with the HMS Victory, Mary Rose Museum,Naval Museum, etc. Even though an old building, it had an elevator, which was great since we were third floor. The included breakfast was a full breakfast of eggs, beans ham and/or sausage, etc. Also available were yogurts.the staff were pleasant and manned the desk 24/7. The only downsides were 1) the pillows and gray carpet in the bedroom, and 2) the small size of the room. The carpet looked like it needed abit of cleaning. And the pillows were somewhat old. Because of the convenience, we might stay here again, though."

"Staff were excellent and breakfast was tasty, but the shower was a struggle. It was very difficult to turn the shower knob in my room. And I hate separate faucet for hot and cold water."

"Excellent location. Parking in underground car park good and inexpensive. Staff were very helpful. The Air conditioning was not functioning however was being repaired. As the weather wasn’t too bad this was not an issue during our stay."

"This was a brilliant stop over place on our long journey, clean, private and a relief from the car, setting upright for hours! I would definite recommend it. They had coffee and teas and microwave for quick meals be brought from lldil 10mins away. With a dining section opposite the TV, I was grateful after the long drive to just sit there with our TV meals!"

"The Haven is a very well kept and equipped property. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Parking right outside the front door. Plenty of room for two people. Just a little far to walk to any restaurant or bar. But peaceful and easy to find."
