About this property

Secluded Forest Home near Guerneville with Hot Tub

  • Summary:

Enjoy this private and secluded home tucked in the woods. Birdsong and rustling redwoods soundtrack your morning coffee on the stone patio. Soak under stars in your private hot tub, nestled among 1.6 forested acres. This cheerful 2-bedroom cabin sleeps 4, with room for your dogs to explore the woodland trails. Just 1.4 miles to Russian River Pub, 1.5 miles to Korbel Winery, and 5 miles to Armstrong Redwoods.

    The Space:

Spend mornings on the deck as mist lifts off the Russian River, afternoons floating the river or visiting Korbel and Joseph Jewell tasting rooms, and evenings on the deck with the day's bottles.

A modern sofa and two camel-leather accent chairs face the stone fireplace with wood mantel, angled for forest gazing. Orange geometric art pops against the shiplap, and an Xbox One with YouTube TV covers movie nights. Open shelving and full-size appliances keep the galley bright, and a round dining table for four sits on Windsor chairs beside a corner window framing the redwoods.

    OUTDOOR LIVING

The expansive flagstone patio creates an outdoor room among the trees. Fire up the gas grill for barbecues, then dine al fresco at the table. Cornhole boards wait for friendly competition, and two wicker egg chairs in a forest clearing offer a quiet reading spot. After dark, slip into your private hot tub for a starlit soak — the ultimate end to a Russian River day.

    SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

Two bedrooms and a sofa bed sleep up to four guests. The first bedroom offers a queen bed with signature shiplap walls and forest views. The second features a double/full bed in the same bright aesthetic. A queen sofa bed in the living room adds flexible sleeping.

    PROPERTY AMENITIES

    -- Private hot tub

    -- Gas grill

-- YouTube TV with live/local channels

    -- Dog-friendly

    -- Parking for 3 vehicles

    -- No washer/dryer

    Guest Access:

Drop into the private hot tub against the bold red exterior, then come inside to a bright shiplap interior that reads white and airy after the deep forest outside. You've got the whole cottage, dogs welcome, with a BBQ, outdoor dining, and a flagstone patio that doubles the living space. Grab the key from the lockbox; up to three cars fit in the driveway.

    The Neighborhood:

Your woodland hideaway sits between Guerneville and Forestville, perfectly positioned for Russian River adventures. Walk the trails to Russian River Pub (1.4 miles) for hearty fare and local brews. Tour the historic cellars at Korbel Winery just 1.5 miles away, or venture to Porter-Bass Winery (0.7 miles) for intimate Biodynamic tastings. When hunger strikes, The Hot Box BBQ (2.0 miles) serves up smoky favorites, while boon eat + drink downtown (2.4 miles) offers seasonal New American cuisine. Stock up on provisions at Sam's Market (2.3 miles) or grab morning coffee at Bia Cafe (2.3 miles). River access awaits at Sunset Beach River Park (1.6 miles) for summer floating, while ancient giants tower at Armstrong Redwoods (5 miles). The eclectic downtown Guerneville strip lies under 3 miles away, packed with rainbow flags, vintage shops, and welcoming patios where dogs are as welcome as their humans.

    Getting Around:

Guerneville is about 90 minutes from San Francisco via 101 and River Road — a scenic drive through vineyards and into the redwoods. Your driveway accommodates 3 vehicles comfortably. A car makes the Russian River Valley easy to explore, from redwood trails to riverside wineries. Cell service gets patchy in the redwoods, so downloading offline maps before you arrive is worth it.

    Other Things to Note:

The wood stove is decorative only — please don't use it, as noted by the reminder on the unit. While there's no washer/dryer, you're here to unplug anyway! The cabin stays naturally cool thanks to the redwood canopy, and the mini-split AC handles the occasional heat wave. Your High-speed internet keeps you connected when needed, though the spotty cell service might be a blessing in disguise. The separate Nut Nook structure on the grounds makes a perfect reading retreat on breezy afternoons. Sonoma County strictly limits occupancy to 4 guests total (children count) — violations carry hefty fines, so please respect this rule. The primary renter must be 21 or older.

Cute little cabin super close the prime area for tubing the Russian River in Guerneville. Loved the little touches like the bidet, record player, old school video games, and wide selection of entertainment and seating

Great little cabin!

This was a perfect cozy cabin for a long weekend getaway. It had everything we needed. We spent most of our time outside grilling, hot tubbing, and playing bags. The location was perfect since it was so close to town and an easy drive to the coast.

Quiet and peaceful getaway

This is a sweet little cottage with all we needed. There was an issue with the hot tub the first night but the owner/manager was very responsive. After that, sitting in the tub looking at the moon and the woods was so relaxing. We loved it.

Beautiful hidden retreat

This was a fantastic stay. Our first trip to the Russian River area. 20th Anniversary trip for the wife and I. This was a perfect getaway. While it is on the small side, its perfect for 2 people, perhaps even a small family. The small "reading" cabin with the chair is nice if needed. Beautiful location in the woods among the trees, total silence. The chained driveway is nice for feeling secluded. Great hot tub. The area of the property with chairs and the small propane fireplace is also very nice, although we did not use the fire. There was so much to do between the river, the ocean, wine country, the Redwoods, Pliny the Elder. Would love to return someday.

The space was fairly clean but far from spotless and definitely not worth the cost per night. Stains on the walls and couch, a broken window pane, grimy window curtains, and mildewy bed linens all made this a less than stellar experience. The driveway had a nice huge mud puddle in the middle and the actual property has no reviews past 12/2025, which means it was likely cleaned around then and perhaps not used (or cleaned) since. The entire space smells of dog as well. The hot tub is nice (heavily chlorinated) and the area is very quiet. However upon checking in we realized the shower was not draining properly, rendering it unusable. We spent hours both days trying to remedy this but no one would come out on Easter Weekend. Rather than provide a reasonable credit or refund after hours on the phone and trying to coordinate, we were given a measly 70 credit. Would not recommend. Very disappointing experience.
