Central location for this stylish hotel. Unique decor (on a watch/clock) thyme, friendly staff, clean spacious room and a great top floor breakfast room with views over the piazza. Can’t fault it and would definitely stay here again.

I loved the beautiful design, the use of luxurious materials, and especially the “timepiece” theme of the hotel which speaks to the passion of its owner. The hotel is immaculate! Service is superb! Such a unique concept, that is quite unlike any other hotel I’ve stayed at. Will be looking at other L’Orologio properties for my Italian visits!

This is a beautiful hotel located on Piazza Santa Maria Novella. The room was very nice and quiet. The staff were excellent. There were multiple restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast fast was also excellent with plenty of choices and good coffee!

Amazing location and the room was wonderful. Bed was typical of European beds - small and terrible mattress but fine. Really enjoyed the breakfast! Staff were all quite stand-offish at the front of house, rarely saying anything when people are coming or going - like looking up from their desk is a chore. Giancarlo who checked us out this morning was lovely, however. Very nice. We would come back to this hotel.

Hotel D’Orologio

Hotel D’Orologio is beautiful and so much nicer than the photos. The staff are so helpful and friendly, the rooms are beautiful, clean, spacious and traditional Italian with all the modern equipment. The breakfast room is beautiful looking over Santa Maria Novella. The location is perfect for Florence, short walk from all the attractions and tourist areas and in a beautiful area, also benefitting from being a short walk from the train station. Would highly recommend, a beautiful stay and perfect for our honeymoon!

The hotel was beautiful and in a convenient location near the train station. We were right on the piazza but the room was quiet. It felt very private. Breakfast was wonderful. All staff were friendly, professional and helpful. My only issue was that the hotel was very difficult to find as the signage outside is very small and barely noticeable.
