"This resort was an excellent choice. More than I expected. The suite was amazing with spectacular ocean views. Pool and hot tub was great. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was clean. Had to wait 45 minutes at check in fir room to be ready. The restaurant las palmus had great Mexican food. Will definitely come back again."

"Resort is old and seems outdated. The green carpet in the halls and overwhelming smell was a bit much. Room was above average. They were working on the building the day we arrived, hot water took like 10 minutes to get hot but good after that. Pillows and bed were below average. View was good from our room. Noise was not an issue."

"Initially there was an issue with the room being ready. So when it was I got upgraded for free. Basically I got a slightly larger room. I was happy with it and the staff were very helpful."

"I have NO idea how this hotel got such great reviews. I just got back from my trip there and I relied heavily on the reviews to book my stay here. I dont ever write reviews, but had to write this one. Our room was okay, but not the cleanest. There was balled up hair on the floor, and our room had some things that were broken. Nothing that halted our stay of going to the beach, but when you pay for something, you expect for there to be certain things you get. Cleanliness should be top priority. The pool was disgusting. Don't let pictures fool you. It looked like it is never cleaned, as there was AGAIN more random balls of hair on the ground around the pool. Gross. There was even a cockroach walking around at the indoor pool. Guests were having to run past it in hopes of it not jumping on them. Parking wasnt the greatest. There is no elevator so if you have to park on the 3rd or 4th floor, you have to walk up a flight of stairs to get there. We did enjoy the beach but sadly, will not be back to this hotel. I hated using our hard earned money to pay for a hotel that does not seem to get cleaned or maintained. Main door to the beach was also broken, so it stayed open allowing anyone to walk in, whether they have reservations there or not. Listen when I say to book somewhere else. We have stayed enough in VA Beach for me to know there are other hotels at this same price that actually care about what their hotel looks like. The cookies you get checking in aren't worth staying here."

"No breakfast was left the first or second mornings about 30-45 minutes before it closed. Staff had to be called to clean the room. The room smelled."
