Room was very clean staff was very friendly and helpful. The beach view was amazing even from the ground floor room. Parking was good .my only complaint was the pool didn’t open until noon and check-out was at 11 so we couldn’t use the pool before checkout

The room was clean and had an amazing view of the beach. Access was perfect! The bed was very comfortable and clean and the bathroom was well appointed. The fixtures in the property are dated and well worn. However, it has everything that you need for a comfortable stay, and the staff was very helpful and kind!

The staff in both the hotel & the restaurant were extremely helpful and friendly. Our fifth floor oceanfront balcony had space and a great view. The only two negatives I experienced (Which were both mentioned in previous reviews I had read before I booked) were: 1. The bed was definitely not firm and solid 2. The walls are very thin and other guests noise & movements are easily heard.

Older hotel but property and rooms have been well kept and updated. Kitchenette with mini fridge, small microwave, traditional coffee maker with starter coffee, cabinets, and sink great for mini meals or reheating leftovers from last night's restaurant. Onsite cafe/restaurant currently offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner is intimate with 3 oceanfront tables inside plus a small bar and more seating outside. Service was great and gave off the impression it was family owned or employees were very close-knit. Indoor pool was small but big enough for a refreshing splash. Nice area off the lobby with seating used for fresh ground coffee in the morning. Coffee machine had a plethora of choices. My favorite... fench vanilla with a shot of chocolate. All rooms ocean front so not a bad view in the house. Location on block 20 so right at the center of the boardwalk. Rates below most comparable hotels I viewed so good value too! I recommend for couples or small families.

The stay was great! This is an older property and the pool area as well as the bathrooms show their age, but everything was clean and tidy. The mattress was ok, but not something you would want to sleep on for more than a couple of nights. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay at The Capes again, no question.
