"The room had been renovated and was done really nice. Very comfortable stay and would definitely stay there again as I travel for business.
Only tip being a lady needs a full length mirror and a hair dryer. Very nice room and big screen tv."

We stayed at Rydges Bathurst for only one night on the 21/08/15. My wife & I were travelling with 3 teenage boys for soccer the next day. Once the two ladies, at the front desk, understood this they upgraded us to a much larger room without hesitation. They also suggested a great family pub for dinner were the food was excellent & the boys appetites were satisfied. These ladies were so friendly & accommodating. They made us feel so welcomed that we enjoyed our experience & haven't stop telling...

Firstly the staff were welcoming, friendly, quick easy check in and out and very informative.
The room was exactly like the photos, very modern, enough room for a quick stay and easy to maintain with room service daily. Warm n cosy for the winter weekend stays!
Everything is in the room fridge, toaster etc.
Easy to find!

This suited us well. We had 2 little dogs and needed a pet friendly place. The room was thoughtfully presented with a bed, water bowl in consideration of our pet. The place was very clean and fresh.

The two bedroom unit is perfect for any family small or large. Perfectly clean, spacious and comfortable with attentive staff. Only complaint was a 9pm phone call to my mobile during the stay from staff regarding a bad review she thought i had posted ( I didn't) which perhaps could have waited till checkout to discuss.
Other than that it was a lovely stay. I have already recommended it to friends and family

Travelled to Bathurst for a concert which had been cancelled at the last minute but stayed anyway. The motel was within pleasant walking to the city centre and eateries. The staff were great.

Stayed 2 nights and found the hotel clean and staff extremely nice.
If I am in Bathurst for business I will definitely stay here.
Only downsight if you're a light sleeper a nearby train rumbling might wake you from time to time.

They went out of their way to accommodate my request to keep cold items in the fridge even after my checkout time. The communication is absolutely excellent, with hardly any wait time.

Staff were both very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good assortment of cereals and spreads and a modest choice of teas. The room I was given was spacious and had a carport to park my motorcycle under which, was very appreciated as it rained on the second night of my stay. All in all I would not hesitate to stay here again.

What is the best area to stay in Fitzgeralds Valley?
The best area to stay in Fitzgeralds Valley is the historic town centre, particularly around Main Street and Valley Road.
This area is the heart of the Valley, offering a blend of historic charm and modern conveniences. You'll find a selection of boutique hotels, guesthouses, and independent shops, alongside cafes and restaurants, all within easy walking distance. The Valley Creek meanders through the centre, providing pleasant pathways for a stroll.
Couples looking for a romantic getaway will find the town centre particularly appealing. The historic architecture, coupled with intimate dining options and proximity to local wineries, creates an ideal setting. Many accommodations here offer luxurious touches like private balconies or access to high-end spa facilities.
For travellers looking for a more secluded and tranquil experience, the properties located in the hills just a short drive from the town centre are an excellent choice. These often feature larger estates with stunning views of the vineyards and valleys, providing a peaceful retreat with easy access to hiking trails and nature walks.
When is the best time to go to Fitzgeralds Valley?
The best time to go to Fitzgeralds Valley is during the spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May) months, when the weather is most pleasant for exploring.
During spring, the valley bursts into life with wildflowers, and the temperatures are comfortably mild, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C. This makes it an ideal time for outdoor activities such as hiking and vineyard tours, especially for couples looking for scenic strolls and agreeable weather.
Autumn also offers excellent conditions, with warm days and cool evenings, usually between 18°C and 28°C, and the landscape transforms with beautiful autumnal colours. This period is great for those who enjoy outdoor dining and exploring the local produce markets without the intensity of the summer heat. Families often find the milder temperatures more suitable for children's activities.
While summer (December to February) can be quite hot, often exceeding 30°C, it's still a good time for those who enjoy swimming and water activities, particularly around the local rivers and dams.
