"Pros: We chose the place based on the facilities rather than the location, so if you're wanting entertainment on your doorstep you'd be slightly disappointed. But for us, the villa was ideal, plenty of room inside, large swimming pool and excellent outdoor entertainment area including a pizza oven. Josephine was a wonderful hostess, very attentive and generous. Highly recommend a stay at Villa Mariavittoria if Sicily is your destination of choice."

"Pros: Sehr gastfreundlich, gute Kommunikation, für jede Anregung offen. Bei Problemen wie z. B. Ausfall einer Klimaanlage wird sich sofort gekümmert. Tägliche Poolreinigung. Cons: Die eine oder andere Matratze ist durchgelegen, Mobiliar aussen top, innen könnte man nachbessern. Wer aber schon mal in Italien Urlaub gemacht hat weiß, dass in Italien der Pragmatismus im Vordergrund steht, und nicht die Optik, es gab also keinen Grund sich zu beschweren."

"We loved spending a few days in Ortigia at the Algila' Charme Hotel. We had a room overlooking the ocean and the busy street outside the hotel entrance. AC was cranking, and the room stayed cool despite how hot it was. The staff were friendly and helpful. A simple breakfast buffet is available daily. They'll even make omelettes for those of us who prefer some protein in our breakfast. The location of the hotel is ideal—walking distance to everything on Ortigia—and the valet parking option is appreciated (since parking is very limited and driving is a hair-raising experience)."
