"The inner courtyard is lovely. We had popped in for a drink when previously in Zafra so this time decided to stay. The beds were very comfortable and everywhere was clean. The breakfast was very good and we stayed for dinner, mostly due to the lovely surroundings. The service was very good and the food was fine though not outstanding. "Overall clean hotel except for some hairs found on the bed, well decorated though. We were looking forward to our included free breakfast only to discover that the choices were very limited. Parking is 10€ per night, so we park outside for free. Had to check in through the cafeteria upon arrival. Lots of things to improve but I guess the decor and the nice living room made our stay much enjoyable. "

"Attractive older property located right on the old town square. Room and bathroom both decent sized, clean and tastefully decorated. Bathroom fittings a little dated but top quality including a nice steel bath 👍. Nice bar and restaurant. The only downside was my 1st floor suffered noise from the kitchen / laundry room especially 9 to 10pm. I would definitely return. "

"We have nothing but praise for this hotel! The beds were incredibly comfy, the room was way more spacious than it looked in the picture, and it is super clean! The ‘make your own breakfast’ is really smart - no need to hurry in the mornings :) It’s family run, and they are so nice and helpful. Loved them! The village is cute too, and everyone is really nice and friendly. Lovely Zafra is just a 15 minute drive away. We traveled as a family of three (child aged 8), but it is definitely best...

"easy to find from a8 road hotel very basic rustic no facilities in room except bed wardrobe and bathroom hotel had no services to buy drinks or restuarant closed for breakfast plus side bathroom very good. on check out advised had to pay though i explained booked with expedia but advised this was not payment and had to pay again strange as in other hotels i stopped in hotels advised payments made.."

"It was a large spa area full of old people coming for treatment. we felt slightly out of place . everyone was in groups doing excercises, playing games and in the morning queing up in their dressing gowns at the Doctor's before going in for their treatment. otherwise it was fine."

"The hotel is well placed for travel south in Spain being just off the A66. The room was spacious and comfortable with a good en suite facility. "Hemos pasado unos días en familia estupendos. La casa es cómoda, amplia, todo estaba muy limpio y muy completa en el menaje. La Lapa es un pueblo muy tranquilo desde el que parten unas rutas muy recomendables y está a tan solo 10 minutos en coche de Zafra. "Best hosts ever. Was greeted by owner's father and mother. We were shown the property and asked if we wanted a fire lit while we were out seeing the ruins. And we had a warm cozy home to return to. Homemade marmalade, wonderful cheese and meats. Homemade pound cake, good thing we only stayed one night we could get fat."
