"Very quiet and peaceful. Lovely hosts with horses and sheep. Similar interests in spinning and knitting. Denise teaches spinning so if you want to try your hand, she has extra wheels. Only negative for us oldies- bedrooms upstairs and bathrooms down with having to navigate steep narrow steps."

"The farm was a peaceful setting after traveling and parking was very convenient close to the front door. The open courtyard was a great place to sit out and lots of firewood available for the outside firepit. The rustic furniture was very interesting and fitting for the renovated barn conversion. Supplies for the kitchen, and bathroom were adequate. It does state in the listing that the floors and walls are barn wood siding, but some parts of the floorboards were uneven."

"We had such a wonderful stay on Linda Lane and absolutely loved our time on North Pond. It was exactly the kind of Maine getaway we were hoping for—peaceful, beautiful, and incredibly relaxing.The setting on the pond is really special. We loved the quiet mornings, being surrounded by nature, and simply slowing down and enjoying the water and the scenery. The house was comfortable and welcoming and made a perfect home base for our time in Maine."

"We had a wonderful stay in the Sheep Shed Cottage. It was rustic, quirky, and fun (a step above glamping). The Thistledown Farm offers multiple onsite outdoor activities and many other activities are close by. The furthest we drove for any activity was 45 minutes, and it was great to return from the hustle and bustle of the costal communities to a quiet evening by the fire pit. Penny is a wonderful host and we loved every opportunity we had to chat with her. Sheep Shed Cottage is the most rustic of her VRBO offerings, but she graciously showed us her other spaces and they are beautiful. A stay at Thistledown Farm is worth your while."

"We enjoyed our stay in Dome 3. It was a fun experience. The bed was super comfortable and we slept well after a long day of travel. We appreciated that we had our own bathroom, I was just surprised it wasn't closer to the Dome. I am not a "camper", tho. We appreciated the flashlight that was provided as well. If you want a fun experience in a beautiful area you should try this!"

"We enjoyed this property very much , was clean and quiet with beautiful sunrises looking over the meadow . The A/C was very much appreciated as the temp were in the low 90s. Kitchen was well equipped especially if you like to cook . The host was great and let us use his lobster pot and cooker which we used many times . We would definitely come back to this property again ."
