A secluded dream home and birthday weekend celebration.
We had a lovely experience staying here! Beautiful views, an awesome hot tub, a fully stocked kitchen - what more can you ask for? I booked this cabin for the weekend to celebrate my 35th birthday with a few girlfriends, as our goal was to simply cook, lounge, and enjoy some quiet time in nature. It delivered on all fronts.

Awesome Experience!
Family weekend with daughter, son-in-law and grandkids. Such a great experience. This cabin has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Outside hot tub, on the deck, was great. Saw a fox, hummingbirds, deer and raccoon. Family friendly hiking trails only .05 miles from the cabin. Very responsive guest contact. Hoping to book another stay in the winter when the snow is falling.

Amazing views and location!
This place is absolutely amazing! I over packed. There was everything you could need at this place to make you comfortable from the bathroom to the kitchen and bedrooms. The host thought of everything to supply guests with what they need! The views are what make this cabin a stellar place to stay! We couldn't stop staring out of the windows. The location is great being 20 to 30 minutes drive from all the best hiking and skiing spots! We hiked Pennsylvania Mountain which had a trailhead right down the road from our cabin. We drove 25 minutes to hike the Upper and Lower Blue Lakes trail then drove through Breckenridge for fun. We explored around Fairplay and loved the tour of the historic gold mining town. We definitely want to come back to this place!
The cabin is very nice and clean. The road to the cabin was rough, but that is not the fault of the property owner. The Pennsylvania Mountain trailhead is very close and is an excellent hike.

Great home
This is a very cozy home to spend time during the cold winter months.
Some recommendations for the hosts would be to provide adequate cooking equipment (pots, pans, bowls, knives). Most of what is there was old and damaged and difficult to use. The thermostat was not working properly and we had to bypass it to use the heater. The location is beautiful, but very far from the rest of the towns. Getting from the house to the FairPlay town in the snow takes about 20 minutes and an hour to get to Breckinridge. It was also hard finding the house at night as the front outside bulb was burned out. However, Google maps did take us directly to the house, just as a note for future guest directions.
Stunning home with amazing views. The elevation can be taxing, but we acclimated ourselves for a few days around the Salida area. Home comes with everything that you need. I didn't want to leave!
Amazing property, views to die for only down fall is the altitude that made us have to leave early Because it was too unbearable for the kids and even adults. So if you know you’re sensitive to altitude this isn’t the place for you because you won’t be able to enjoy it to it’s fullest potential.
This home in Fairplay was absolutely PERFECT for our summer vacation. The home itself is warm and cozy with comfortable furniture, loads of soft & warm throw blankets, and a great kitchen which was well-stocked with necessities for all our cooking needs. The view from the decks was superb We did NOT want to leave! The home is situated in an area to the west of Fairplay called “valley of the sun” snd the drive up to the home always included wilflife. We saw MANY Moose as well as mule deer and other smaller birds and mammals. A perfect week!
This house was great and had an easy check-in process. It was very clean and well equipped. The fireplace had starter logs ready to light and there was enough next to the stove to last the entire trip. The views were wonderful and we would definitely stay here again.
Address giving on website's Google maps was inaccurate, took me 2 hours trying to get a hold of customer service as there is no signal sound the area, cabin address couldn't be seen as the address pole where they have the number was covered by snow and missing numbers, both decks where full of snow and couldn't even get out to enjoy the view, no snow shovel to even try to clean, hot water will run out fast and would take awhile to re-heat, nearest stores or medical are 25 minutes away. Cabin was clean, downstairs bed was too stiff, only TV in the downstairs living room worked, TV in upstairs room didn't have cable or any type of service. Fire place downstairs didn't worked, overall I was disappointed as I thought I was going to be able to enjoy the deck area, drink a coffee or grill, not good if you have small kids, nearest ski areas are 55 minutes plus, roads are harsh on vehicles suspension getting up the mountain as its 6 miles from the main road and good 20-25 minute drive to get from the road to the cabin.
Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Lovely home with lots of amenities.

Disappointing
Was the property clean - yes. Was it worth the price - No.
We reserved the property for 2 -days - 48 hours basically.
However we could not check in until after 4pm and had to leave by 10am Sunday morning - less than 48 hours and we could not relax and have a leisure breakfast Sunday morning.
In addition, we felt like we were always watched. There was also this creepy skull with horns in the living room that was something out of a horror flick. It was absolutely uncomfortable and DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING THERE.
In addition we could not utilize the TV. Very disappointing stay and not worth the money. I am requesting a partial refund since we couldn't even stay for 2 full days.
This house has a beautiful view and is peaceful and quiet. It was a little further from Breckenridge than we thought - it took closer to 40/45 minutes. We enjoyed our stay.
This home is beautiful and the views are amazing. Kitchen had everything we needed. Lots of room and open areas. The only disappointing point of the property was the cleanliness when we arrived. We did some clean up before we could enjoy the rental property.

We arrived in the evening, in the snow storm, address not visible, front door covered with 4 ft snow
The place is absolutely beautiful! The address should be put near lock box and back door entrance as it is not visible. We couldn't get in the due to 4ft snow covering the door. We couldn't locate the address, went next door and got stuck for hours in the driveway. The door into the home was completely covered with snow, we had to use a garden shovel left near front door to dig our way in. We all caught colds and had to get well during this stay. Missed out in the experience. Snow removal by snow plows are not family friendly. Thanks to other people we got help getting around as some folks drive fast and dangerously. Directions were not provided accurately, Google as suggested is not a source, we had to contact the agent numerous times to get the exact address.

Cozy with a gorgeous view!!!
We stayed for a week, and enjoyed our visit. There was a winter storm, and during our week over 12 inches of snow fell, on top of the snow already there! But the plows ran regularly, and we had no issues as we followed directions with having a 4x4! The temps were -21 up to 19 degrees... but the cabin remained cozy! The gas fireplace kept it comfy while downstairs watching tv, and the wood fireplace upstairs kept it almost too warm while chatting and reading! Great location central to many places!! We went to Colorado Springs, Monarch Mountain, Breckenridge, Vail, and Grand Lakes! If you want to snowmobile... Contact Grand Adventures in Grand Lakes... The drive is BEAUTIFUL, tons of trails, and great customer service!!!! The best meal in Fairplay was at Brown Burro! We had a wonderful stay, vand highly recommend it!!

The property was very nice
The directions to the property are wrong on google and also wrong on your directions we had to call Phil to get the correct ones. Also didn’t like that you couldn’t use the top balcony going up and down the stairs was not fun.
