"This is a great location from which to start exploring the area. Close to the boardwalk...cars are available within a two block walk, seaplane 2 blocks away...parking at $5 is a plus as it makes parking so simple. Easy to drive to and from once you figure out which one-way streets to use. Hotel is a bit tired...no operating on-site restaurant but a five minute walk will take you to 3-4 restaurants close by. The pool was not full of water the first day of our visit...did not check...

"Most of the staff was very friendly. The rooms are dated. The first room I was in, the sliding door handle broke off in my hand the first time I opened it to get a look at the water. The second room's hair dryer didn’t work. I stayed four nights and my room was never cleaned once, nor were any towels offered, and I dod not have a please do not disturb sign on my door, so plenty of opportunity to have it cleaned. Nice location on the beach though, which is truly what the goal was."

"The property is great with beautiful views on the beach. I think all the rooms have a balcony which is nice but the salt takes its toll. The ac unit was broken, the bed was lopsided because the box spring looked crumpled. The sliding door had no lock. The bartender was not very friendly. Barely spoke one word to me. The receptionist was very nice and helpful though. "

"I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. We checked out the same night. Here are the issues.
Unsafe parking lot. Parking lot is not lighted
Hotel gave us one set of towels. Asked for more which they gave us but not enough washcloths. They didn’t have any washcloths available because they were being washed.
In addition to the card key we were given a key for a padlock which screams this is not a safe hotel.
Marijuana smell in the hotel.

"The room was spacious and clean. The host was eager to give me advice on what the best tour groups were for the excursions I wanted to do. The beaches were in walking distance. One was to the north of the property and the other was fo the south. I was there the week of the New Year’s Carnivale celebrations. Victoria House is centrally located to all the Carnivale celebrations and parades. It was an unforgettable vacation and I will definitely be returning. "
