"me an my wife who are locals spend the memorial weekend there an was very impressed with our room nice an clean nice ocean view from the balcony. nice excellent restaurant to have dinner.Had the chance to talk an meet Babara very nice lady that works there an do an awesome job...... "Everything needed (even conditioner and hand lotion)-- other than a kettle in the room but I was able to get hot water for tea, from the in-house restaurant, during their operating hours. (Ones of the owners at reception does not have the most welcoming personality but if u ignore the way she may treat you, everyone else was really sweet & fantastic!!) Cleaning rooms upon request, even daily if wanted/needed.. One night, there was a water issue but thankfully that got resolved and the staff got me a shower in another available room...(Sounds like it was an Island thing? Not totally sure...?)"

"The room was clean, beautiful, and very spacious we just had a little issue with the A/C and on spot where water leaked from the ceiling. Once it was reported someone was sent right away. The pools are great the kids enjoyed them the staff was friendly mostly helpful and nice."

"It's convenience and spectacular view of the harbor over looking Charlotte Amelia for our last night. The front desk lady on the mid-shift was so pleasant and knowledgeable to our questions. The restaurant's atmosphere was perfect for my wife and I as we lived in the VI for many years. To finish our stay, our taxy driver was like a private tour guide to the airport. What more do you want ?"

"The pictures are a fraud. There’s no restaurant on the premises at all. The pool looks nothing like the pic. My bed sheets were dirty and had false eyelashes attached to them. There was construction done daily. Men were throwing large rocks down a shaft from 8am to 4pm DAILY!!! Including the weekend! They cut the yard daily. The excuse I was given was ground work was done daily. This made my stay horrible. The people were very nice but they didn’t solve any of the issues. I will never return."

"This resort is older and the rooms are dated and could use a refresh; however, they were clean and the bed was comfortable which is really all we expected since we didn't plan on being in the room the whole trip. We did the all-inclusive option which gives you access to two restaurants and two bars .... drinks were great and we found the food was very good overall. Those who enjoy this resort are the laid back type ... don't expect the Ritz or top tier furnishings and amenities. Bongolo Bay is beautiful and yes, the beach is rocky in areas but I was able to go barefoot walking in the sand and there was a sandy area to access the water but would recommend water shoes to be on the safe side. Iggies is a beach bar / restaurant that we loved going to in the past, so staying here was like hanging out at your favorite beach bar for the whole time which we enjoyed immensely. Strongly recommend for those with the "proper expectations", looking to relax and what we believed to be n excellent value."
