Very clean and no unreasonable check out rules
I’ll start by saying that the apartment was immaculately clean. I really appreciate the no frills/down to earth approach. I’ve largely avoided these types of rentals in favour of hotels in recent years given the long lists of fussy rules some owners have that make the stay feel like an imposition rather than a business transaction. The only things in Hollie’s binder relate to water usage (don’t waste it and don’t back up the sewer lines). Pretty basic stuff. Nothing unreasonable and I felt completely at ease staying there with my young children. The beds and couch were all very comfortable. Highly recommend this spot for a reasonably priced option. Also the playground across the street was top notch.

super family location
Fenced yard, with a fantastic playground across the quiet country road. 2 minutes to a convenience store. 20 minutes from beaches and shopping in Parksville, 10 minutes to Coombs. Quiet at night, comfortable beds. Clean. Toys and books for kids, responsive helpful host. Needs more cutlery.

Nice mobile home, but not in hot weather
While there were fans in every room they were not enough to cool it off for sleeping. Our hostess was very helpful with useful information and it is right across from a park where the farmer’s market was held. We left after one night because we could not sleep in the small bedrooms that remained very warm throughout the night. Also, the area was in a level four drought watch so we were discouraged from flushing toilet paper or taking showers. Because of the drought, there was no water in the creeks and no trout fishing. Would recommend this place in cooler weather with no drought.

Quiet get away

We loved staying at Hollies Hideaway! As soon as we pulled up we noticed the cuteness and charm. Nestled amongst some trees it felt like a mountain getaway yet we were close to everything we wanted to see. I’m sure we will be back!

PERFECT

Perfect for what we needed
We arrived very late, had a good night sleep and was gone early the next morning. Needed a place to stay very close to the provincial parks, and this suited us perfectely. Host was very responsive and helpful, and saved us some time by suggesting a better ferry dock to return to Vancouver! Thank you.

Nice little unit

Perfect Home Base
My friend and I stayed here with our two year old children for a mid week getaway. Having two bedrooms is hard to find and this property provided each of us with a room for the kids to nap and have privacy in the evening. Steps away from a playground and forest. The kids had a blast jumping in puddles. Close to Parksville for the beach and playgrounds, 5 minutes from Coombs and 10 minutes from Qualicum Cheeseworks. The property was clean and have everything we needed to cook meals at home. I’ll definitely be staying here again.

A true gem, especially for those with a love for the outdoors
Nestled in-between coombs and Parksville, this tucked away place has a lot to offer and very convenient location. 5 minutes from various excellent dining and entertainment options, and a Stones throw away from the wildlife/ animal rehabilitation center.

My 4 year old says "I miss the hideaway already"
This was a wonderful family-friendly property for our family of 4. It is accross the street from a park with both grassy and wooded areas and has a playground less than a block away. It is walking distance to the local general store. Hollies was a wonderful host, very welcoming and even offerred our kids some toys to play with while we cleaned and packed at the end of our stay. The large fenced yard made for a play area where we felt safe letting our 4 and 1 year olds run free. There were a number of books in the property appropriate for all ages that our kids loved reading, even learn-to-read books appropriate for our 4 year old.

Hollie’s Hideaway was an excellent place to stay. The host was very kind to us and was super accommodating. The outdoor space is beautiful and was a great spot for chillin. This rental is in a wonderful location and I would definitely recommend staying here!

Hollie was more than accommodating and we ended up booking our stay for longer. Very clean and tidy and age appropriate books and games for the kids. Very friendly and beautiful lot. Pictures do not do the place justice! Definitely booking this again in the future for our yearly visits.

Pictures don’t do the justice, it’s so much more beautiful. The park right there with cute playground. So quiet! Kitchen stocked, clean, a bed a bit squeaky, woke me up every time I moved. But overall is a great experience.l!

peaceful getaway
a short drive from the beach, we are in a peaceful rural setting. This mobile home is spacious enough for the 3 of us, with two bedrooms and lots of outdoor seating to allow variety. Hollie briefly stopped in to say hello, she is very pleasant and the space is great.

A lovely stay
Hollie is an incredible host! We loved Errington, and found Hollie’s Hideaway to be be a great home base to explore the area. Her property is very kid-friendly, both inside and outside. A small challenge was that it was difficult to eat indoors with the bar table with our children (we didn’t eat outside because of inevitable summer wasps). We would definitely stay again.

Great spot for families
Hollie's Hideaway was a wonderful little spot...between the beach and Englishman River Falls, and close to the Goats on the Roof market. Hollie was very welcoming and available to answer any questions as well. The fire pit was well set up, and the cats came for cuddles while we sat around it. The pillows were so comfy - I had a couple of good sleeps here.. overall I would recommend this location to small families, there is space for the kids to play, you are close (short drive) to the tourist attractions, and not in a tent if it rains!!

Holly's home is very eclectic and cute. It is in the perfect location, right across the street from the Errington farmers market and has a great sense of community. Her place was calm and clean. The interior did not blow me away compared to the photos online. But it was a nice place none of the less. We really enjoyed our stay and felt very at home here. Thanks so much Holly! P.S. your cat is so adorable he really made our stay special❤️

Overall, it was good. We recommend this place. I like the bottled water and being close to everything. The owner made a special effort to put an extra cot in one of the rooms. We had an incident with the owner's dog being off leash and being overly passionate with my 5 year old. The owner has apologized and i know it was not intentional. It would be better is there was working dish washer and a microwave. Wished we had time to enjoy the fireplace in the yard. I think it is still a great stay for a family. I will return.

Charming home away from home
Such a great place to stay and so close to our favourite vacation stops including Coombs, Parksville and Englishman River Falls. Comfortable and spacious mobile home with second bedroom for teenagers. Funky gardens and great seating areas outside. Really appreciated the well stocked kitchen, super accommodating host and special touches like a bottle of wine and homemade muffins. We needed the recipe before we left! We hope to come back again!

Peaceful and great location!
We enjoyed our stay in Errington, a small, peaceful community within a short drive to many attractions around Parksville and Qualicum. It was like a "home away from home", with everything we needed in the kitchen and lots of space to relax, whether inside or out. It was quite warm during our visit, so fans had been set up in every room, which helped. It's a bit of an older place, but has been tastefully decorated. Hollie is very considerate and friendly and respected our privacy as much as is possible with her and her family living on the same property. The gift basket of goodies was much appreciated!

We had a lovely stay. It's easy to access great trails in the area like Englishman River Falls and other regional trails. The book of info on the area Hollie provided was very helpful. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the fire pit or the BBQ because we were too tired from exploring the area but they were both lovely options.
