"We enjoyed our stay close to local beaches, kayak/paddle board rentals and in between Halifax and Mahone Bay. The owner was very attentive and thoughtful of our needs. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and the owner brought family videos and yummy coffee for us. It was well equipped with a wonderful washer dryer, BBQ, waffle maker and coffee maker as well as many items for guests. The deck was handy to enjoy meals and watch the deer in the morning and water throughout the day and evening. I...

"Didn't get entry instructions til just a few hours before arrival. Outdated cream and milk in frig. Not wiped clean. Floor has glue and stains. Looks dirty. Dust thick on top frig and wall shelves. Oven drawer not clean. Lightbulb burned out and fixture dirty. No replacement bulb No sheets pillows or blankets for extra beds. One is slippery futon. Other must be loveseat pullout. No topsheet for master so we had to go buy one for hot hubby Yard is gravel back yard so can't sit out and enjoy....

"We had a very enjoyable stay. The home is pretty, clean, and has everything needed to stay. The in house laundry was excellent to have. Saved much time trying to find a place to do it. Nancy was a great host. She was very attentive to our requests and answered our questions in a very timely fashion. Would stay her again."

"We went to this property for a few nights to get away and we were absolutely blown away. This property has been beautifully built and fitted to that of luxury hotel standards. It was private enough and we were able to spend our time relaxing by the fire, in the hot tub or just around the cottage. There are no cottages built next door yet, but they are coming, we did spend one morning listening to a chainsaw but that is to be expected. "Met by the very attentive owner who is very polite. Answered texts very quickly, and checked in to make sure everything was okay and to see if I needed anything. Place was clean, bed is very comfortable, and amenities are close by with a car. Easy access to major highway close by."

"House was great, lots of room for our whole family Could use more towels, but we made it work The electric kettle is leaking and the basement bathroom could use a garbage, could use updated furniture and the master bedroom needs the shower drain cleaned. Furniture on the deck would be nice as well. Under the beds and furniture could use a good cleaning Barbeque would be nice as well A second TV in the basement would be good for large groups also Thanks for everything, over all the place was nice...

"So restful and an astoundingly gorgeous location. Couldn't be happier with the stay, the house, the area, and Phil gave such good advice! We had a glitch with the stove (our problem, not the stove) and he popped over to straighten us out in a flash. Finding the place in the dark was a bit of a challenge; if you have cell coverage, it should be fine. Otherwise, it is wise to examine a map very carefully before you set off (in the dark)."

"Lovely property. Exactly as advertised. A few suggestions for Mr. Noblett to consider. The dining chairs should be retightened after each visit as a few chairs were awfully wobbly. Because we were a party of 5 women over the age of 60 the amount of toliet paper was insufficient. We left him a pack. If choosing to use white towels, they should be bleached on some sort of regular rotation. Some looked decidedly dingy. Otherwise Tilley Cove House was an absolutely a wonderful spot to vacation."

"Came for a week to revisit Halifax and area, but stay in a quiet area. It was great, caught Fleet Week, saw Peggy's cove, Lunenberg, all the stuff in Halifax, narrowly missed the incoming storm....Good Luck folks. Spent a lot of time talking with Nova Scotians who are great people, always had the feeling they'd give you the shirt off their backs."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the South Shore Oasis. David thought of everything to make guests feel welcome and at home. The house has a very well appointed kitchen, gas BBQ, portable fans in many rooms, plenty of bath and beach towels and games for kids. He also spoiled our dog with treats and his own bed. The property is located on the main road to Chester, centrally located for day excursions to Lunenburg and Peggy's Cove."

"Loved the layout of the apartment - very comfortable. Parking was a bit of a challenge due to a parking lot close by was being resurfaced and street parking was fully occupied. An exception for parking was available on the next block while the other lot was being constructed. No elevator."

"Sandra and Bill are fantastic hosts, who have built and outfitted this tiny home with such thoughtfulness and intention, that it was very difficult to bid it goodbye. The Southern Shore of Nova Scotia is one of the most beautiful- and friendliest - places I have ever been. Im counting down the days until I can visit next. Or retire here."
