"We were touring around and this was a great location, with the beaches of Nairn nearby and good connections to travel wider afield to Inverness and Loch Ness in one direction and Aviemore in the other. The facilities were what you'd expect and we enjoyed the bar and dining in the restaurant on both nights we stayed there - excellent food and service. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, with our many questions about places to go etc. It was also fascinating to learn about the link with Charlie Chaplin, and I would happily stay there again. "Lovely bit of highland grandeur/history. Mostly just passing through for a local event so didn’t get the full experience. Wee bit expensive for room alone but no complaints about the standards/staff etc bar/dining facilities looked very pleasant "

"My room was cosy and very clean. The bed was high and the linen was immaculate and very comfortable, a proper princess bed. Location is walking distance from shops, restaurants and the quaint harbour. Breakfast was tasty and well presented. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend to others. "

"We had a fantastic stay at Eight Acres Hotel and were thoroughly impressed. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Our room had been recently refurbished, and it was fresh and comfortable with modern touches like faux leather headboards a mirror frame. There were plenty of sockets, which was really convenient for charging devices, although none had USB ports, so remember your plugs. We also enjoyed the tea, coffee, and hot chocolate facilities and especially the shortbread biscuits. The shower was powerful and hot, perfect for a refreshing start to the day. Breakfast was another highlight, with a delicious full Scottish breakfast featuring black pudding and tattie scone. There is currently no catering facilities, (or pool/gym/spa), at the hotel other than breakfast, but there’s a bus stop just outside the hotel and it took us 5 mins into the centre of Elgin. We didn’t want to drive as we wanted a drink with our meal. Overall, our experience was great. With good hospitality, comfortable rooms, and a decent breakfast."
