Lovely traditional hotel. Good breakfast. The bed was really comfy and the linens and towels nice. Room was nice and clean. The points which let it down were
The shower was had no power. The curtaien round the bath was a small square one which stuck to you once wet. A larger person would not be able to use it. The toilet roll holder was missing off the wall and a piece of metal was left there. It is practically impossible to stop water exiting such a small space so toilet rolls on back of toilet did get wet. There is quite a large step from bathroom to bedroom so need to be careful in the night when going to loo. It's a shame these minor things let it down as it really is a lovely hotel and the staff wete very nice.
It was a strange smell between our room and the restaurant area where we had to pass through our bags! The staff are fairly helpful. The location was lovely, but unfortunately the shower in our room didn’t work very well.
This is a good hotel for a stay in speyside. it is a good size with comfortable rooms with a good bathroom . The food in the restaurant was good and well cooked. My only real criticism is that I was disappointed there were no Scottish ales in the bar. There are plenty of good breweries in Scotland and it would be nice to see Scottish beers in the bar even if they were in bottles.

Liked: Cleanliness
Yes, there were shops very close. The room was clean with very comfortable beds. The public areas were attractive and welcoming.
Pleasant single room for my night stay.
Quaint old building. Set in lovely surroundings. Free parking.
Good buffet breakfast. Plenty of choice. Helpful staff.
We only stayed here one night after a wonderful day at Landmark Adventure Park. We got in at 7pm and I was excited to take a shower after such a fun day only to find that our room did not have hot water. We alerted the front desk and I sat there in a towel for 30 minutes while the guy tried to get it to be hot. He said we couldn't be moved to another room because they were fully booked. When I book a hotel I don't have very high expectations; I mostly want a comfortable bed, a hot shower, and the room's temperature to be reasonable. Everything else on top of that is a bonus. But this hotel failed on one of the most basic requirements and it really but a damper on our evening. We weren't offered compensation in any way for this- not an offer of dinner on the house to make up for it, not breakfast, and moving rooms was immediately nixed. If I hadn't been so defeated from the get-go I would've asked for more but I definitely wouldn't return given the opportunity. Bummer. We were happy to be gone in the morning.
Dated & tired property in severe need of an upgrade, a lot of things in the room didnt work , heated rail in the toilet, fan in the shower room, TV didnt work initially
Overall the place was clean & tidy
On our stay we had the buffet breakfast option along with limited continental breakfast option
Situated on the outskirts of the town within easy walking distance
