Gaze out over deep green ancient rice fields then hitch a ride to breakfast on the back of a beautiful Sumatran elephant.

Stay at the exclusive Elephant Safari Lodge and you’ll enter a world where elephants wander through tropical gardens set in a lush Balinese landscape. The lodge is situated in the multi-award-winning Elephant Safari Park in the 4,000 year old Hindu village of Taro. Unwinding here means you could be following in the footsteps of some very famous visitors. Both Julia Roberts and David Beckham have stayed at the lodge. There is a fully equipped gym if you want to exercise, a pool to cool off in or you could wind down with a massage at the Safari Wellness Spa. As the day draws to a close, dine on the terrace and watch the elephants as they graze in the nearby tropical parkland. Central to the experience of staying at the Lodge is the aim to bring you into close contact with a critically endangered species, the Sumatran elephant. Observe them as they nurse, play and bathe with their young. There is ample opportunity for further interaction with these wonderful animals. Join them at feeding time or climb onto their backs for an unforgettable stroll through the park. If you find yourself yearning for something a little more energetic, there is kayaking and white water rafting through the rain forest as well as excellent mountain biking terrain through the valleys. The park makes an excellent base for exploring ancient temples or marvelling over the famous Tegallalong rice terraces. The lodge offers various luxury accommodation options with private balconies overlooking the gardens. The exclusive Toro Suite comes with full terrace, Jacuzzi and private butler, not to mention stunning views! The lodge is located in Tegallalong, 20 minutes’ drive north of Ubud and 75 minutes north of Ngurah Rai Airport. Transfers are included in your accommodation price. There is a daily shuttle bus to Ubud, the artistic capital of Bali.
