"Wow!! What a gorgeous property. We had a volcano view room but really you couldn’t see the volcano. First of all it was foggy most of the time but also you would have to go to the end of your “yard” to look over the hedges. Not sure if our yard was nicer than the forest view. Perhaps, as it is stunning!! It is very cold up there but so refreshing. The biggest advantage of Casa 1800 is that you can start your hikes before anyone else. We did both Santa Ana and Izalco. Both were amazing."

"We loved our time at this unique property. We stayed in the family room (which was well-appointed and very clean). The food was delightful and we enjoyed the welcome drinks at check-in since we're Expedia VIPs. The food was delicious and the staff was incredibly attentive. Our kids loved the pool and kayaking on the lake. They also had a cute activity where the kids could pick veggies from their garden and they served them up for breakfast. Overall, I would give our stay 4.7 stars. Everything was perfect except for the fact that our room didn't have any hot water. I know that this is a common thing in El Salvador, but we didn't expect this considering the price for the family room. It was way too cold for our kids but we made it work since we only stayed for one night. If the staff are able to remedy this then we would have zero complaints. Other than that, it was a perfect stay!"
