There are several restaurants within walking distance, but most were closed due to the time of the year (September a lot of places close). There was a bad storm and the power went out for >11 hours which was unpleasant, but out of control of the hotel and staff. Beach is within walking distance and there is a little bit of an ocean view."

"We absolutely loved our stay at The Cove at Cerritos. The location is breathtaking—situated right on a gorgeous private beach with incredible views of the Pacific. The sound of the waves, the peaceful atmosphere, and the natural beauty of the rocky coastline made it a truly serene getaway.
One of the highlights was the unique character of the beachfront itself—there’s a mix of soft sand, dramatic rocks, and local wildlife like crabs and small fish in tide pools, which made it feel immersive and special. The property was quiet and felt very private, which we really appreciated.
The hosts were wonderful—friendly, responsive, and full of great recommendations that made our stay even better. We felt truly welcomed and well taken care of. Highly recommend this stay for anyone looking for a relaxing oceanfront retreat with natural charm and excellent hospitality."
"Our stay was great. They have everything we needed. The kitchen had cookware and utensils. They had a coffee pot with plenty coffee and sugar. They have a beautiful pool and best of all fifi the host. Fifi and Spotty are loveable dogs in the property. The human staff are awesome too! I think his name was Oliver who made a bonfire for us to enjoy. Hats off to a thoughtful well planned small hotel."
