I have stayed here a number of times. It is ideally located - close to Waverley station and Calton Hill - and has character. The lounge is compact and attractive, the staff very welcoming, rooms are very comfortable and well maintained and the breakfast is very good. Highly recommended.

Would definitely come here again! Staff was super nice allowing us to get into our room a bit early as it had just been cleaned. The room was quiet, strong WiFi and yummy cookies! They were helpful finding us a dinner restaurant and the am breakfast was perfect.

Beautiful old building, very well-kept. Staff were lovely. Excellent location, close to everything, Including old town, new town, train station, etc. Despite being in the centre of everything, was exceptionally quiet. I can’t remember staying in a hotel that was so quiet, no noise from other rooms or outside at all! Favourite hotel in our UK vacation by far.

A close walk to the station and a nice hotel. The breakfast choices were good and the hotel staff were very attentive. The receptionists were always pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely stay there again if we came back to Edinburgh.
