I did not want to rent a car so they helped me navigate the bus and dulmus to Akdamar Island and into the City Center. I also took an afternoon in the town of Edremet and enjoyed the harbour and shops. The people were amazing and fun - taught me about the local area and a little about Kurdish culture.
