"Very good hotel, with friendly and helpful staff, comfy bed and freshly renovated. Location is a bit meh, being just a service area ultimately but still very practical and right next to a McDonalds, which doesn't hurt!!"
"The hotel is a delightful experience. It is in a quiet location overlooking Chester-le-Street, but within walking distance of the town and Riverside Park.
The room was comfortable and clean. The decor is in keeping with the theme of the castle, and well maintained.
Reception, bar and restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast choices are extensive and the restaurant caters for vegan and GF diners.
Lumley Castle is my first choice for staying in the Newcastle area; it never disappoints."
