Village View Vista at Ferrinway (#26) is our 2-bed, 2-bath condo that provides optimal access to mountain biking on local trails, Fort Lewis College, riding the Durango Train or visiting Mesa Verde National Park, playing golf, and hiking.

Inside the two-level home, is a large, open living room with flat screen TV and wood burning fireplace. Adjacent to the living room is the dining room with a table for six. The nearby kitchen includes new appliances and countertops, with dinnerware, cookware and utensils. There are window AC units in the summer months. Outside is a balcony with outdoor furniture, views surrounding landscaping, mature trees and foothills in the distance.  The balcony serves as the private entrance to the condo.

There are two flights of stairs leading up to this condo.
Please note, due to HOA regulations, this unit, and all of the units at Ferringway DO NOT allow pets.

AMENITIES: The Ferringway Townhomes offers a shared hot tub and heated swimming pool for guest use. The pool deck has plenty of room for lounging, as well as multiple gas grills and outdoor dining space without having to leave the grounds.  There is easy access to City Open Space hiking and mountain biking trails behind this property. THE POOL IS OPEN APPX MEMORIAL WEEKEND TO END OF SEPTEMBER; HOT TUB IS OPEN YEAR-ROUND.

LOCATION: Ferringway is just a 5-minuts drive to historic downtown Durango and the Durango Train, plus restaurants, shops and entertainment.   Driving about 30 minutes to the north takes you to Purgatory Ski Resort and the high San Juan Mountains.  Mesa Verde National Park, a noted World Heritage Site, is about a 40-minute drive to the West.  Hillcrest Golf Club is a five-minute drive from this condo, as is the main campus of Fort Lewis College. Whether visiting Durango for skiing, summer Rocky Mountain adventures, attending a wedding, graduation at Fort Lewis College, riding the Durango Train or visiting Mesa Verde National Park, playing golf, hiking and mountain biking on local trails, this Durango townhome at Ferringway is a great place to stay!

Super convenient location in Durango! The apartment had everything we needed. Some of the instructions are slightly outdated but once I figured out to find them on the website, everything was explained. The host was very receptive to questions. AC is window units, but it worked fine apartment was Tidy and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool in hot tub after our long days of exploring and hiking.

8th Grade Ski Trip

We were there to join our daughter/sister on a ski trip to Purgatory. I loved the location as it was close to fun places to eat and a college. On a morning walk, I saw a family of deer feeding on the property. The only thing that could have made this stay better was if the hot tub was not frozen over. Not too much you can do about that. Excellent stay and I would highly recommend this to anyone staying in Durango.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit was on the top floor so lots of stairs but that was expected per the description. The starter pack of cleaning products and toiletries was nice touch and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The complex was very quiet (in late June) and just a few miles from Main Street. We did not use the pool but it looked nice. I would stay here again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Durango and the area of the condo was lovely. close to town and easy access to multiple things. When we arrived the condo had not been cleaned. Dirty sheets, stripped beds, towels and trash in the unit. it was 81 degrees in the unit. We called and waited about 90 minutes to get it cleaned before we could unpack after being on the road all day. They came and cleaned and did a great job. The AC was window units and box fans and the unit was on the third floor of the building, making it tough for seniors! It would have been nice to know the location of the unit as we would not have booked a 3rd floor unit. The dishwasher wasn't working and the dark colored extra towels for the pool were not enough for our party of five. Overall, we have stayed at worse, but also have stayed at much better.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I should start by writing that this condo is in a good location for golf, trails, etc. It's quiet and safe. Vacation Rental Collective was very responsive. At this price, I have a list for the owners. 1. Replace your towels and linens with all cotton sheets and better towels. I was issued towels like this in college. 2. Get rid of the area rug on top of carpet in the living area. If the carpet is stained or worn - replace it. 3. Pots and pans need upgrading. Why are there 4 8" fry pans? Go through all kitchenware and get rid of the old stuff. 4. The couch is worn out and uncomfortable.

Ferringway Condo

The condo was alright. The second night during rain, a leak from the hallway light fixture occurred. The management was responsive to our correspondence but repair didn't occur as we were told the repair company for the HOA only responded during the week. The condo was moderately appointed in terms of kitchen utensils, pots, pans, etc. The location was relatively convenient to Durango Main Street but the condominium complex appeared a bit run down from the exterior.

Durango adventure

This was our third time to Durango and my cousin’s first time from Tennessee. The Durango Silverton train trip never disappoints! Just remember to dress warm as it is always colder when you get there! So many good places to eat and fun shops to explore. Lots of hiking and biking trains. Fun place to visit! The colors were amazing too!!

Summer vacation

Renter beware if the temperature is forecasted to be hot, the air conditioners in the condo will not cool the place. We arrived the temperature inside the condo was 89 degrees. It took until the following night before the condo was comfortable enough to enjoy. There were several fans in the condo, they did not help. We bought an additional box fan for the windows, running two box fans with all the window open and the A/C off helped. I would rent this condo again if the high temperature was forecast to be below 75 degrees.
