"Owner is very attentive. I arrived early and was welcome and showed to my room. It is very conveniently located to Stirling castle,downtown, shopping and dining. They have an excellent restaurant, unfortunately was closed during my stay. I was traveling by myself and I feel very safe during my stay. Breakfast had an excellent variety. I ordered the Scottish breakfast,was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this cute B&B. "

"Our family of 3 stayed at the Sherwood Inn for 2 nights. It was perfect! Breakfast was delicious. It was our 3 year olds favorite meal of the day both days in Edinburgh. The room was very comfortable for the 3 of us with very high ceilings and a nice en suite. "Fraoch House is a sweet place. It's older and has charm. Matthew the host was solicitous and eager to please. We had breakfast one morning and it was excellent. Our room was adequate. Lack of a plug convenient to one side of the.bed and.odd chairs that tipped over when we sat in them were drawbacks. The location was a disappointment. We didn't realize how far we were from everything. There is good bus service, but if you prefer to walk to attractions it's quite a slog. If you have a car it's no...

"The staff are very friendly. The rooms are airy and large. The shower is a bit of a mission to get into. The paint on the cupboard and side table is chipped and needs to be touched up. Windows open to allow fresh air as the room gets stuffy when the heaters are on. Breakfast is served quickly and the breakfast room is nicely laid out. Location is great to walk around Edinburgh."

"Super lovely and thoughtful hosts who were quick to respond whenever we had any issues or requests. They were even kind enough to bring a mini fridge up to our room at the last minute to accomodate all the supermarket meal deals we bought :D There were a few wobbly bits in the bathroom like the shower pole and the tap, but everything still works. The beds were immaculate and super comfortable. The location is also really great, only a 20 minute walk to the beach front and Portobello village...

"Have heard nlt so good things about this hotel in the past but this is the first time I have stayed. It has new owners and well I must say they are turning it around. The price was very competitive and this included breakfast which was very good. The room was a little dated but was very clean, the bathroom is brand new and very clean and modern. The staff were very friendly. We didnt eat apart from breakfast so cant comment on the resteraunt other than the breakfast. We would stay again, also...
