"The hotel is historic and comfortable, and the staff members are very welcoming. Parking is easy, and the location is ideal for walking around and exploring downtown Dahlonega. We are looking forward to our next stay at the Smith House already! "

"The room was clean and I appreciate the soaps and body wash. However, the bed was very soft, and since we had four guests, we shared beds. I slept on the edge of the mattress and kept falling/sliding all night. At breakfast, the juice machine was out of order. My wife wanted water, but tap was the only water available, unless we paid for bottles of water. If the machine is broken, the water should be complimentary. Tapwater is okay, but too much chlorine and the taste wasn't so great. The rest of breakfast was good."

"My wife loved the cappuccino machine and the hotel doesn't charge for it. They have a wine tasting area which is well furnished and immaculate as was the front parlor plus there was nice seating areas to relax on the front porch. If we are ever in Dahlonega again, it would definitely be our first choice. The main square with specialty stores and restaurants and a gold museum was all within walking distance."
