"First off, the owner is a scam artist and tried to get me to pay for a room that I already paid for. Secondly the room was musty and the entire property is in serious need of updating. The mattress was hard as a rock, the blankets had tears in them, the carpet was badly stained and crusty in some spots and the trash cans in the room already trash in them before we got there.... The motel appeared to have several "extended stay" residents who were nothing but a nuisance. I would not recommend...

Red Caboose Motel

10/10 Excellent

"I have been a frequent guest at The Red Caboose Motel since my first stay in May 2016 which was a few months after the current owners, the Pricketts, had purchased the property and embarked on an improvement project on the property including renovations of the caboose motel rooms, restaurant, barn, and other things. Sudden health issues kept me from visiting the Red Caboose for several months this year but I was finally able to resume my visits again in early November. Upon checking in,I was assisted by Front Desk Associate Christine who had also helped me on many previous occasions including on my first stay back in 2016. When I told her of my sudden medical issues which had kept me away from The Red Caboose Motel, Christine was very sympathetic and made sure that my stay would be a fine one. Dinner and breakfast at the on-site Casey Jones Restaurant was delicious as well, with friendly service. The lady who checked me out was friendly and sympathetic to my health situation as well . To sum up, it was very nice to get back to The Red Caboose Motel and I plan to return again soon."
