"We didn't expect too much. We arrived decently late and tried to call multiple times to check how late we could check in, the first 2x the phone was not answered. We were asked if we want to see the restaurant menu but were not informed when it closes so by the time we went to the restaurant the kitchen had closed and no warm dishes were available. "Bernadette was an excellent host. Family of 4 was very comfortable in two adjoining rooms. Rooms and bathrooms have all been renovated with modern amenities . Beds were very comfortable. Host asked us the night before when we would like breakfast, her suggestion for 9:00 am was perfect time. Fresh pastries ( all homemade) yogurt, jams, juice and coffee and chocolate milk for kids, were all ready for us. We enjoyed talking to Bernadette about our travels during breakfast. "A delightful and eclectic decor and four resident case acting as social directors. Unfortunately in this very small town their restaurant is closed for dinner on weekend and the other hotel restaurants in town were limited in capacity to their own guests. The closure was due to staffing difficulties so I hate to point this out, but we ended up getting burgers at a local snack shop--and they were so busy it was an hour wait to pick up our order!
