The Frampton Arms

"The room was well presented,very calm decor in room 5, Aircon worked well , as we had unusually warm weather for late September, hadn't appreciated how close to the train line we were ,bit minimal sound from it . Good size TV and ample coffees and teas ...no biscuits tho 😉 , maybe a bottle of water in the room would be a nice addition. . Bedding was fresh and clean ,but found the mattress quite firm for me . Bathroom good size and lovely powerful shower with good size cubicle. Dinner was delicious 😋, and reasonably priced. Breakfast was included in the cost of the room and was of the continental kind ,but enough choice and we left full. Staff were efficient both in check in and at Dinner and Breakfast. Garden are looked very smart but only stayed one night so didn't get to sit out there."

"We are always very impressed with our stays at the George Albert Hotel. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the rooms comfortable and well appointed and the price is VFM. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in that area now."

"Such a lovely place with a lot of history. Incredible staff and they helped me a lot, especially with getting back back-and-forth to the tank museum and the train station. Excellent breakfast highly recommend"

"Our room was lovely, suitably large with 2 good wardrobes and a light over the dressing table mirror. The mattress was very comfortable and table water was always available. Breakfast was served in the conservatory with a lovely view of the enclosed garden. We ventured away from the Full English to try the omelettes which were delicious! The owner, Noorani Willamson is charming, chatty and very knowledgable about the surrounding area."

"A hidden treasure in the middle of a charming village. Check in was fuss-free and friendly, the room was gorgeous and the pub itself was fabulous. Traditional flagstone floor, wonderful outdoor seating area and to top it all, the food was of a high standard and freshly cooked. Would highly recommend."

"Lovely cottage with hot tub, and parking, in village, with friendly (walkable) Chalk ‘n’Cheese pub (no food), music at weekends. Ideally situated for Dorchester, Bridport, West Bay, Lyme Regis (beautiful area). Most things have been thought of, but could do with some steps, for hot tub, (I am in my late 60’s ). Ideally (especially in this hot weather), take your own top sheet, bath sheets, and fan (if required). Bed was really comfortable, and TV very good. We had a lovely stay, and could be absolutely gorgeous with a bit of TLC to outside areas. Karen very helpful - we left some keys, and she very kindly sent them on to us - thank you, again. Would stay again (if they’d have us), and recommend."
