8/10 Good
"Upon entering you are wowed by the reception area, toilets, bar & resturant however the room was very basic, rock hard pillows, alot of noise from guests above suggests not great sound proofing between floors & heard them banging around till gone midnight. Spotlessly clean throughout & lovely staff all very welcoming & smiley. The buffet breakfast was ok but not outstanding for £13.50 a head, sausages were poor quality so would skip that if staying again. Was able to park car & enter reg well begore check in so could go and explore Weymouth & have lunch which was great. Overall it was a good stay & if staying again would definately take my own pillows for comfort."

Purbeck House Hotel

Purbeck House Hotel

8/10 Good
"We had two rooms in the main house on the top floor. We did not see the inside of the lodges. Experia had a good late offer on a Deluxe Superior Room (which the hotel itself wouldn’t price match) which worked out the same price as a standard sea view room that we had booked through the hotel directly. The rooms were a good size and standard (especially the Superior). The bathrooms in both rooms were a bit tired and perhaps most disappointing was the bath tap mixer shower which just provided a trickle in the standard room. The building is impressive from the outside and interesting on the inside. We liked the period features inside the hotel which included rows of old servants bells and various staircases (but no lift). The lounges, bar and outside seating area were also pleasant with period features but seemed to be hardly used by the guests which was surprising during peak August time. The gardens were well maintained. Breakfast in the conservatory was also pleasant and had all the basics available (cereals, croissants, various breads, coffee machine, but there was no cooked option and most fruits were tinned (grapefruit, raspberries etc). The staff were all friendly and helpful. This is a great place to stay if you prefer somewhere that is interesting with some history rather than a typical hotel room and if you don’t mind a few creaks and old fashioned plumbing."

"Excellent breakfast, great location, car parking could be better, especially for electric cars who need to charge. Electric car charging spaces were regularly occupied by non electric cars because the car park is very busy. Comfortable room and lovely, helpful staff."
