The Lodge at Bodega Bay

"Bodega Bay Lodge is a beautiful, well-maintained property and a wonderful place for a relaxing getaway. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff was helpful and welcoming. The one downside was the noticeable smell of cigar smoke when we entered our room. The staff offered to move us, but we chose to stay because everything else about the room was perfect. Housekeeping brought us an air freshener spray, which helped briefly, but the smell seemed embedded in the carpet and drapes and never fully went away. We really enjoyed the property and appreciated the staff’s efforts to help."

"A comfy bed, the staff were great, although the guy at the desk spent way too much time on the phone with a guest who appeared to just want to chat it up and clearly has never used the internet, but I can't really blame him. The restaurant was way overhyped compared to what it turned out to be. The "restaurant" is literally a bar, a handful of tables, all in the open and all served by the single bartender on duty. Also, only one of the TVs in the restaurant worked. Bartender stated the others didn't have cable. . . .in a Hilton property. We went out to an actual restaurant instead of whatever that was."

"Our stay was a one night only. We have stayed at the hotel several times before. The place is in a wonderful location and is a quaint place. It is very comfortable and quiet. I was surprised by the restaurant that was very good. Fair price and good quality cooking and service."

"What I liked most about this place were the following: 1)Price was much more reasonable during the month of Sept 2)Very friendly, helpful and professional staff from reception to housekeeping to staff helping to carry our luggage’s up the stairs. 3) beautiful corner rooms that overlook the bodega bay and the hills behind the property. I especially loved seeing the cows and calves up close! 4) nice layout of the clean property 5) although I didn’t go into the pool or hot tub, they were both big. 6) rooms were very spacious and the bathroom was too."

"I loved the look and feel of the property. We enjoyed our room. The staff were friendly and helpful. The full breakfast in a very nice dining room with dishes and silverware exceeded our expectations. Oh, and the coffee was top notch. We will be back."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Inn. Perfect location that was walk-able to the shops and restaurants. The huge jetted tub in our room (Kitchen Cupboard- each room has a different name!) was so relaxing and I liked being outside of the main building. The breakfast was delicious and fresh every morning so we didn't have breakfast out at all. Coffee was usually available by 8 but as someone who is up early, that would be my only suggestion to have it out closer to 7."
